  1. Hi mate just seen your going to cannington next year. I'l be back there in september for my third and final year completing my ND, dont be afraid to give me a shout on here if your in need of help with anything. Not sure if you've gone ahead and bought anything yet but the college has a day where different kit suppliers come in and you can buy your kit, think its october time. Personally i wouldnt buy your kit on this day, but use it as an opportunity to try it all on and see what size suits your best, and what trousers/boots you prefere. Once you done that give jonsie (f.r jones) a shout on here and he will sort you out. Hope that helps, and see you in september!

Boss went to grind out 2 cedar stumps, turned out one was heavily rotten, came out real easy and the other wasnt even a stump, just a ring someone had cut off the first stump and left on the grass, chucked it on the back of the truck, nobody was none the wiser. Was for some rich guy, didnt look at the work, just payed up and off he went.

  7. Yes please! lol, cracking machine. Also a "hot saw" would be nice, i think i need to get my hands on a 2nd hand saw and tinker with it
  8. How is it finacially viable? Im assuming the timber must be worth abit more? or it just harvests a great deal of timber. Same with the helicopter...
  9. Im assuming they have stopped selling the pico micro, except for the saftey ones, with the ramps and stuff on the cutters to reduce kick back. Correct if im wrong?
  10. Where abouts in minehead mate? I've worked in to small woodland areas with college there, doverhay and little hedden? There were some pretty shocking felling cuts done by the first year students there, im not having a dig at them, il admit my first ever felling cuts were crap lol

  13. Started a reduction on a conifer hedge today, back tommorrow aswell to finish and do some other work but this hedge was full of rubbish to. Its a regular thing down this way mate
  14. As much as i hate the little blighters, it amazes me how they build things like that.
  15. we were taught the drag test, pull the chain and it shouldnt move, but if you kinda give it a swift tug/pull then it should move around, hard to explain i know lol That was when i did cs30, now i just pull the chain out the guide bar abit and can feel if its right or not.

  17. Ive got NPTC chipper, and yes it is a joke. Also did hedge trimming to, that was even more of a joke! But hey, i didnt pay for it, college did
  18. Do you know if they sell them over here mate? They look simlilar to the bandit chippers, is that what name there sold under over here? Tom
