  1. If you dont have a chipper I would not bother with a pick up Cutting Brash up takes for ever and you will soon fill a pick up A bigger tipper would be much better IMO or tow a big trailer

If you have 10k to spend I would go for a six inch Machine I have a five inch timber wolf which i find is a very good chipper But with the extra horse power of the 6" machine it puts a lot less strain on everything and this should make the machine last a lot longer My 5" machine works out at about £25 per houre to run

  5. I did the same thing with mine for a faulty earth I must admit after 1 hr of trying to put it back together i gave up All the bits in a bag and off to my local dealer After a lot of laughing at my expense it cost me £25 wont do that again
  6. What about some Holly can make a few trees or small hedge only need 1 trim a year

  8. Raining hard from 7.30 here spent 6hrs mowing soaked through the waterproofs given up for now Will have to work harder tomorrow now Fed up with this weather now
  9. I got stung 4 times on my head a few weeks ago Wasp nest was in a shrub i was working on Big as a football, a cloud of wasps came for me I ran like mad Had to use a can of wasp ease on my head to stop it hurting
  10. It is good to have some training over none at all But it would always worry me that some one would cut themselves then sue I think it is best to leave well alone:thumbdown:

  12. I dont mind the heat at all Anything is better than rain Drink a lot of water but it still makes me feel tired a lot quicker

    Love that part of the World we are going for a week at Croyde Bay in July looking forward to playing with the kids on the beech and in the surf
  24. Cool what a Guy Most people would be happy just to be alive at that age He puts a lot of effort in to what he enjoys and sticks at it
  25. I think a lot of it is about how you present yourself Turn up on time to quote be polite try to show that you know what you are talking about When you do the work do the best you can and spend a lot of time cleaning up. A lot of my work is repeat business and recamendations Price is also important, but if people think you will do a good job it helps.
