Hi Buzz one of the pdf files says you have places around the uk to tip chip and timber for free. do you have any near Tamworth Staffs I must be one of the only guys in this area that pays to tip many thanks Nick

Take the loss this time But charge them an extra hour on the next few jobs to cover the cost i would not imagine they will know if you have been 5 hours or 6 hours on any given job And this way it will not upset them at the start of your new contract:001_smile:

Did a YTS with Warwickshire county forestry dept at 16 then worked for Leicestershire County forestry dept for 4 years. Did some building work, driving work, and factory and office work but always ended up back on the trees. Worked for 4 years with a guy who has been in the business for 35 years he has now retired and i have been running my own business for the last year wish i had done it 15 years ago love the life

why dont you try the Orange Stihl Ear Plugs or Huskey ones other ear plugs are available -
HT Lead wont unscrew almost looks as if it is molded in and I am the 3rd owner of the saw so that has done that option I will get the new coil in the post by Friday will try that out and let you all know Thanks for all the help

I am not sure it is the coil I have a feeling it is the HT lead but they dont look as if they come apart for £24 it will save trying to bodge it up The saw is about 10 - 12 years old

Update Flywheel is ok no movement Breather had some dirt in it it also has a small grub screw in it i asume this is to stop fuel comeing out removed coil and cleaned connections got saw going used a tank of fuel worked fine Cleaned it tonight it would not start took plug out only sparks some of the time managed to find a new but non genuin coil on the internet for £24.00 at a place in Martley Nr Worcester beter than £74 for Stihl I hope this fixes it Thanks again for the help

Thanks I will look at that in the morning The saw cuts fine for about 20 mins been using it today to fell and ring up a 30" Dia conifer then it just stopped almost like fuel or being turned off I left it for 20 mins while we chipped up and it went again lasted about 15 mins then stopped again
