  6. Hed these sent to me the other day: http://www.academicjournals.org/jaerd/PDF/Pdf%202012/14MayConf/KeBler%20et%20al.pdf http://bfw.ac.at/400/pdf/fsaktuell_44_7.pdf It seams according to some of the research that: If it turns out that actual tree death is not that common (even the FC "pest alert" note states the disease causes leaf loss and crown die back and that it may lead to tree death) it actually sounds unlikely to "spell the end for the common ash across Wales", but could spell the end of production of good ash timber. Don't believe the hype generated by the newspapers
  7. You can't I have never known mistletoe to have a major effect in the trees health. Just keep cutting it back when it gets too big.

  13. Do you mean this one ? 12 tonne snatch / pulley block off road 4x4 recovery essential for winch 2:1 | eBay I think your winch will distroy it very quickly. You will need something with much heavier duty bearings Like this: AHH i can not find it Clarke forest did do some heavy duty snatch blocks, but i can not find them.
  14. The trouble with specializing is you tend to loose focus of the whole picture. Life is all you need 'man'

  20. My guess: Newly transplanted= stress Soil depth, not as deep as it could be = stress A dismal summer, not ideal for stimulating new growth, and ideal for just about every pathogen = stress It is a wonder it is still alive. Sent from my Galaxy arse using tupping talk. Check ALL the simple things first.
