    Plenty of room to fell there, if you are worried about hitting the house, tie off the tree so that it can not fall towards the house.

    [ame] [/ame] This is the browns one in action, the entry chute needs beefing up a bit, as i reckon it wont last long, given how much it is bending. Combine with a simple log deck you would be able to process smaller diameter timber pretty quickly.

    This hybrid Poplar was planted in 1991, and currently has a timber height of 23m, an average diameter of 28cm dbh, and an average volume of. 61 m3 per tree. Sorry you will have to turn your head sideways, as my phone is misbehaving.

    Having worn glasses all my life, and tried all manner of safety glasses, i have come to the conclusion that they make no difference what so ever at keeping crud out of your eyes. Contact lenses and good fitting mesh goggles are the only combination to work. That said i still use the Adco focus1200 rx, which are ten years old, and still going strong.     I have found the Tirol boots better for getting in and out of machinery, and the Scarfel boots better for grip. Both have lasted well provided you look after them. Both boots are equally waterproof, but when the going gets wet, break out the wellies. I still have not decided which boot i like the best, and over the years these two have proved to be the best.

    For most situations like this i normally work out an average stem diameter, and use that to create the RPA along the woodland edge. I will however make note of any significant trees that are worthy of mention in there own right, and record them individually.

    The concept is really good, but the end product is too small. If the machine could produce 6" minimum, ideally 9" logs, you would have a good marketable product.

    It is working well, the radiator is still in one piece, although the purple paint is starting to wear off.
