  1. some vigorous buffing should bring out the best of it.
  2. Where are the brambles, and steep muddy slopes ?
  3. Once it is split and seasoned, i doubt that anyone will be able we be able to tell the differance. Unless they have spent their life working in the woods.
  4. If you are not sure dig a small test pit, and test the soil with a test kit(that can be bought cheaply from a garen center). This will quickly tell you wether their discription is correct or not.
  5. That is a standard pit discription to give the planted tree the best start in its new location. Otherwise know as a whole in the ground with rough edges.
  6. I grew up in North Curry, the rhynes in the surrounding levels always had good amounts of spawn.
  7. We will need three ropes to swing on, pref strechy rock climbing ones. One retrevial rope to pull them back up. Angle iron for anchors, and away we go.
  8. Lets hope arb talk does not crash this time. You don't need to go to the US, when we have one nearly as big here in Pembrokeshire. Pembrokeshire Coast National Park - Sea Arches I have watched a couple of people swinging through the green bridge.
  9. That looks fun, and it tows as well. A great way of collecting wood
  10. The tree were planted 35 years ago, and were about 60' tall.
  11. Sorry Trigger you were not quick enough
  12. Nope stacked it all my self Alycidon, i estimated about 2550, so you are the closest. Would you like some laylandii for guessing correctly
  13. I used two joined together for years. I used two pieces of ply cut to the shape of the back part of the handle. One bolt through the ply that held the assenders in place. Then 4 zip ties to stop the assenders moving. Done this way the assender has been not altered in any way, therefore it can not fail its lola test.
  14. You could have not picked a nicer piece to loose your milling virginity.
  15. Looks like you had your work cut out there, those are some mighty big big lumps.
  16. I have had enough of Laylandii. It started off like this, and ended up like this. Anyone want to hazzard a guess at how many 3' lenghts i have stacked ?
  17. What are you doing with the assender about 1.30 minutes in ? Is it a re-direct ?
  18. Counter balance him with a log that is the same weight as your non climber, so that he can go up and down with ease.
  19. Woohoo a fellow member of the clapped out old tractor club. Keep it in its working livery.
  20. I use canvas gaiters over the top of my chainsaw trousers, when i am battling brambles in the woods. My current forestry trousers are noe 4 years old, so i think they do make a difference.
