  1. Some interesting shots, not sure I'd fancy using the last one for long! I used to love those 020's propper work out for the "guns" (not that I ever used one with one hand of course)
  2. Taking down a Sycamore in MK, if anyone has the facility to take a load of chip or wants the timber - or both!
  3. Excellent work John, nice to see. Do the crocs mouths open....?
  4. Has anyone got the capacity to take some clean hardwood chip in or near Stratford?
  5. We perform a fresh RA on a daily basis even on jobs taking longer, it can then be briefed/signed at the start of the day with the team on site and highlight any changes that may occur from the previous visit. Any aditions to the team can then (as Paul said) be briefed on the risk as they arrive on site. If your already undetking risk assessments for the daily jobs this shouldnt be any extra work and keep things clear and specific for that days work, without hazards from previous days interfering.
  6. What do I put on your College report Joe.. ...first day of industrial placement had to go home early, used up large wound dressing on his finger then caused me a load of hassle filling in incident report forms... Hope you heal quick pal, got a Birch reduction for you tomorrow
  7. Poplar just resting an elbow on a brick pillar! and one of an Ash....
  8. Andy, Good on you for giving the guy a break, and spending a bit of time with him "learning the ropes" Keep it up Will sounds like you'll do ok pal.
  9. The guard wont be "walking" anywhere without cutting it off with an angle grinder having seen what went into installing it! and you may want to take your hiab to remove the herb garden... The project was to improve deprived areas and give them something to be proud of and hopefully look after it within the community, however from a tree point of view I agree a lot more trees could have been planted for the price of the guard.
  10. Heres a before during and after of one of ours...
  11. Hillfields, dont think you worked there but I'm sure thats where you used to go at night to see the girls on the corners....
  12. I love the third shot, the way the tree uses objects to lean on! There is a Poplar round the corner from me leaning on a brick pillar like its resting an elbow - I'll get a picture for you today Tony
  13. Cheers Liam, lets see how long they last mate!!
  14. Not bad for the price either, I think the client paid around £6-7k to have them fabricated!!
  15. Even the Cov Chavs would struggle to get that steel fram to catch fire!!
  16. If this was the spec for all tree planting it would work out pretty expensive!! A couple of shots of a tree guard we fitted in a housing estate in Coventry along with a herb garden...
  17. Nice Job graham, how much longer do you think it took to do in comparison with a "normal" crown reduction? We did our first cuts on a mature Ash and some of the cuts took around 20 mins each to do!
  18. I've had exactly the same response from most domestic customers so it was nice to finally get a tree in a position where the aesthetics were not a priority!
  19. Thanks David Not sure how long the cuts took will find out, luckily the tree is located in a rough paddock area so everything got chipped onto site, the sawdust stayed exactly where it fell
  20. More of the cuts and the finished tree. TO checked it today and was pleased with the finished result.
