  1. Well come on then treequip, I know you have looked at my post so what's your answer?
  2. Have a larf Frank, Mark did'nt mean anything bad by it. Too sensitive.
  3. Halve it and halve it again and you might be somewhere near the truth.....
  4. You read my mind Phil, I was just about to say to Brodie try freelancing.
  5. Sign of the times I'm afraid. Maybe you should lower your expectations.
  6. Mores the pitty, someone has to keep their eye on ya:001_tt2: If any of you people see Plippy loitering near any dogs can ya form a physical barrier please. It's a long story that I'll tell ya about later.....
  7. Weird thread!!!Perhaps the first dealer was having a bad day or something but you saw fit to report him to Stihl and then show off your ill gotten gains:thumbdown:
  8. I've been deadwooding it today but tbh I think is on it's last legs due to the concrete that was laid three years ago. Without removing the concrete can anything be done to save it?
  9. I'm surprised that with your cycling background you dont make a visit to the continent for some quality racing shots John.
  10. I'm with Matty. Phwoar filth n smut all the way, stuff all yer poncey tree pics. Haha, what ever way it goes I'd buy one, great idea...
  11. More like who is it and going by the glasses I'd say Dame Edna.....
  12. Some great replies, thanks. I actually priced the job a few weeks ago along with a small Birch to trim in the same garden. I told the customer then that it would look a real mess but did'nt tell him that it might become dangerous in time to come. So yesterday the wife n I turned up to do the job, I'd forgot to check for a TPO so while waiting for the TO to get to his office we decided to do the Birch. The more we looked at the Oak the more we were unhappy with doing it so we told his wife and she rang him at work. I feel bad for not really thinking about it when I priced it and having to let him down yesterday cos he didn't sound too happy about it on the phone. Oh well what's done is done. He didn't call last night to say fell the thing so I'm guessing he's gonna go elsewhere to get what he wants. BTW there was no TPO on it.
  13. Oh I see, what happened to passing a bit of work your mates way. Note to self: No more work for Plippy. :laugh1:Only kidding mate, glad it worked out for both of ya.
  14. I was thinking along the lines of ad15 with the disclaimer thing but I'm not sure that would actually stand up if it did fail in the future. If something did go wrong later on and push came to shove I'm sure most people would drop you in it.
  15. I think it's down to cost. The other half stretches out over a neighbours garden and is next to the Chesnut that the neighbours own so removing that piece will not benefit him that much and keep the cost down. Also he has repeatedly asked the neighbour to do something about the Chestnut and they refuse to do anything so it could be a bit of spite thrown in aswell....I cant say for sure though.
  16. I've been asked to remove a large part of an Oak, probably 50%, down to the red line. I suggested a 20% crown reduction but that will not achieve what the customer is after, daylight. So I said I would rather remove the tree altogether as I wouldn't want to leave it structurally unsound. What are your opinions? Would you do it?
  17. Wouldn't he have had to be earthed if he was electrocuted?
  18. Send em to FR Jones & Son , they've just done a set for me at a good price for a quality job....
  19. They were more like gay gatherings, all of you kipping in one room and Skyhuck with his pink blanket... Face it lads it aint gonna happen..... Southerners rule...
  20. He's not well. Any hedgehog out in daylight is not well.
  21. Look I'm sorry to come across as harsh but tbh I get tired of people who say "Oh this must have happened or that must have happened" why dont people pay attention to detail when so much is riding on it......No offence mate...
  22. Well you cant blame no one but yourself for losing the pass paper. You gotta be switched on to start with if you're gonna make it in this line of work.
