  1. If you think you're worth £150 after one year then you're living in cloud cuckoo land!
  2. "Can I have a beano, 90 quids worth of cream soda and make the rest up in sherbert lemons"
  3. You'll slog your balls off until you've learnt the job. Even then it's hard graft for little reward.
  4. No one said anything about vehicles or fuel. As a freelancer you turn up and work, simples. None of that pricing, checking for tpo's or conservation area's, dealing with customer's, having the means to move and dispose of all the arisings and still compete with every other joe that's trying to get the work. A oner a day is ample imo. ps, I'd only expect a freelance climber to use his own 200 and nothing else saw wise that belongs to him.
  5. To start with your pl insurance is worthless while you're freelancing so you can't add that to the equation. For £80 I'd expect a qualified groundie for nine hours or have a set amount of work to do and offer job n knock. If he's a climber with as much experience as you and I need him to climb I'd give an extra tenner. Using your own saws changes things a bit though, that'd be worth an extra tenner to me so yeah you're about right at a oner I reckon.
  6. 34 miles yesterday and 28 today. Cycling not running of course.
  7. Good job! Great pics! Well done Matty n all.......
  8. Rob was pullin' yer leg.......they're worth a mint.....
  9. Turned like true a pro. Are we to assume that you have made these on a lathe or was it just a boring day at work?
  10. That grey one would look nice with stretchairs.......hmmmmm, tempted.
  11. I wonder how many in here have seen a tree go over with the climber in it. I have, luckily the climber survived.
  12. You aint wrong there, bunny meat is on the up, people are crying out for it down this way. I've heard of one butcher knockin' em out at seven quid a piece. Likes been said, hang on to them paper cartridges....
  13. I can vouch for Nick. You left out punctual mate. You know I can't offer anything regular but I'd like to book you in for the eleventh of July if you want it.
  14. I really can't see what all the fuss is about. Like people have said, just move the fencing. Is that Priestfields in Rochester Billy?
  15. A man after my own heart. You left out drinking though....
  16. My new .17hmr. 140 yds with a .22 is good shooting, well done
  17. Pushed the boat out there Mozz........
  18. Work gets in the way of my hobbies. Three hours road cycling today. Nice n slow, fat burners really. Took in a couple of climbs that got the heart rate going a bit, then just enjoyed the plod and took in the scenery. Lamping tomorrow night on a new permission so it looks like I'll have to postpone Tuesday's job....
  19. Interested in this Peter. Look forward to seeing it in the flesh.
  20. Yeah she's gonna love ya for that one. You've just made a rod for your own back sucker.....
  21. Happy Birthday Mark....... Fifty if I aint mistaken......haha welcome to the club you old git..
  22. Good mate. Cheers for asking. What about you? Got plenty on? Sorry for the derail Jake but at least it's keeping yer thread to the fore......
  23. That's gonna cost ya! What with it being jubilee weekend n all......
  24. Just because I don't agree I've got no empathy. Grow up! You know next to nothing about me butler so stop talking out of your backside for once. Edit: try learning to spell the word while your at it.
