  1. Hi there personally I would use any of the companies listed at the side to buy a proper climbing rope . The rope your looking at is ok for srt and not drt
  2. My switch had two spade connectors on it and I simply removed one of them .
  3. Loving the wigwam . I spent many a happy hour in my wigwam as a child pretending to be tonto . You know the Lone Rangers side kick circa 1975 . The Paddle is an excellent gift . Nice detail on the sign age:biggrin:
  4. Sorry Horatio I just disconnected the oil switch and left it at that . Obviously I,m checking the oil daily . This was over 3 months ago maybe more . Just make sure to check check and double check your oil level
  5. Same hear Good debate . I have used a powered pole pruner in a tree . When I could not get near a limb that required removing due to a wasp nest . In the end it was deemed a fair point and we were allowed to use a powered pole pruner to do the job . It worked a treat would of used a silky pole although the limb was to big for a manual pole
  6. [quote=Adam Bourne;1015209 It's about working smart not hard!! If the climber feels it's more safer or easier and can make a good clean target cut then why not?? Good clean cut looks nice and serves a purpose . The customer is always impressed . Although trees have survived for many thousands of years without precise pruning cuts . According to my research many ripped or torn limbs are actually a host to fungi feeding insects. Therefore offering an on site cleaning service to many a tree in this situation . Powered pole saw in a tree ? Although if it is deemed necessary ie wasp nest or other so be it
  7. Laziness is rife and a sad human trait , I think not. Do you speak from experience ? Everyone is different and every climber has his or her traits . If a climber so desires to use a silky pole pruner within the canopy so be it . Its a tool to use as however the operator sees fit . As long as its in a safe and controlled manner .
  8. Brill thanks for the follow up
  9. Ha ha ha good move
  10. Well just bought myself a new Cinch . Its a diamond of a tool for a work positioning strop . The old one lasted 3 years so why not . Also bought a Petzl Grillion , what for well a friend rates them highly and the money was there so again why not .
  11. He is a lucky bugger ain't he
  12. ( I,ll be back ) Don,t think I need to mention the actor or film
  13. Ha ha ha its the same colour as your pint
  14. Nail on the head fella . Same thing happened to mine
  15. Top pic
  16. Looks cool
  17. Yes £ 80 is a fair price . Although I cannot understand how you made less money doing logs in nets . For me If I sold just nets I would have a greater profit . I would sell nets for at least £5 and each net would contain 10 logs . At the minute I sell 250 logs for £50 mixed load loose tipped on drive . If I did the same in nets at £5 per net with 10 logs I,d be making £125 per 250 logs . Think I will start doing nets only:lol: Your load looks around about 350 logs
  18. Pic of homemade version please
  19. Nice one Climber 85 . I have seen them use an adapted crossbow to install an access line normally srt . As the pic is blurred you probably cannot see an access rope although I,m sure one will be there some where . Who cares where the pic came from its nice to share thanks
  20. I have always thought for domestic work a trailer with wheels under the body is much better for access . I know its not what you asked but just thought I'd give you my two pence worth . Ifors are over priced so are indespension go for a decent second hand one
  21. I fitted a switch to cut the power going to the starter motor on one of my old Hiluxs . Many a morning I would forget to switch it on Saved me pulling the spade connector off the starter motor every night I also slept better . I always think homemade security devices are better as a thief would probably not be able to deal with them as he will not of encountered them before .
  22. Nice
  23. I,m sure leaning towards the Art now
  24. Wow ? Just nearly ordered a new one . Thought I would check back on here before committing . Cheers .
  25. How old is it ? Cheers
