  1. My Trango Cinch is approximately 3 yrs old and has started to slip really badly . I took it off my harness and proceeded to give it a good clean . Suprise suprise after that it is still not grabbing the rope properly ? Anyone else had problems like this ? I just checked on some climbing forums and they have had a number of failures due to cam wear on the Cinch . Although most of us in the tree world only use the Cinch on a work positioning strop . Thinking of retiring the Cinch and buying some other mechanical prussic .

  8. Sorry to hear your engine has died . I would be interested in any pics you have of the new engine . Including fitting . Our small chipper tw 125 is on its second Kohler 18hp triad engine and this engine is now sounding a tad rough I was going to replace in the new year anyhow . So any info you have would be brilliant . Regards Paul Bell

  19. We have the heavy duty big Tifor and the Tu16 . Also bought a small 800kg jet winch . The winch which is used the most by far is the Tu16 . I find the big heavy duty Tifor is hard work ie pulling the cable through and just carrying the blighter about. If I had to choose one out of the three above for general tree work it would be the Tu16 Tirfor .
