  1. I cut out bread and heavy carb foods . Made a massive difference and I felt loads better with little or hardly any pain . Trouble is the carbs taste so good so Im back on them now and my pain has returned
  2. Yes they are crap . Sad really as the overall helmet is great
  3. Don't start me on about Conifer I dream of that stuff in a nightmare type way Regards Paul
  4. Two medium sized Beech trees . There is a potential here to drop your price a little as you will have over £700 +worth of quality firewood . Obviously this depends on the girth of the trees . Just a thought
  5. I can see your point . Although a cheaper quotation does not mean a rougher job . . I price quite keenly in my local area . This keeps me from doing the miles working and pricing in other areas . Which in turn saves time fuel and money . This does not suit everyone but I like it
  6. Your making to much money lol . Nice one lots of connies on myself of late . Horrid things but the blighters pay the bills . I really hate it when the customer say's Oh that wood chip smells nice aaaarrrggghhh Conifers ; )
  7. Makes me laugh ? They always find away round the law
  8. Our nearest scrap yard pays by cheque but also on site he has set up an office to cash cheques . Lots more tree vans round here now .
  9. A local landscaper to me fell out with one of his labourers . What ensued was a tit for tat battle for months ? Then finally a local hero put forward the idea of settling there differences in a boxing ring . They had the scarp and proceeds went to a local charity . Funny thing is these lads are now best muckas
  10. Interesting those side boxes are quite a hazard . Made me laugh
  11. Like that idea
  12. Well Plod have the transit Reg plate no and my best description of these people . Plod said he would also pass on my information to the DVLA ? He also made me aware of a Northwest task force cracking down on these types . Sounds like a positive move to me
  13. Camera phone yes doh . In the heat of the moment I just did not think . I will now use this little device if the occasion arises again
  14. Thanks for all the info people . I best keep looking
  15. 110 Tipper we travel locally . Average about 12 / 24 miles a day . Any further and I take the L200 and trailer .
  16. Yeah no probs Huck . I really can see where your coming from . Just like you said , all I wanted to do was get home unload and sit by the fire . Plod is first thing tomorrow am . Strange really as I have seen this transit about locally but now I have a face to go with it and the reg plate . Hope the phone call will help somebody else out .
  17. Any of you people had one or owned one ? Are they normal Mot or similar to the 3.5ton Mot . Will only be towing a TW 125 and chipping into the back . Crew cab tipper is what I fancy .
  18. Yes Skyhuck I should of phoned the police although it was raining and its Sunday . No excuse but I just had enough for one day after that confrontation 001_smile: I am normally so switched on . Probably working Sunday in the rain didn't help ?
  19. H Hunter I have heard of this before when a local gardener got his tools pinched . Trouble was he had the same routine most morning's local shop for a paper and his fags . Only to come out one morning and his hedge cutters / strimmer and blower had gone : ( They were on his little Bedford Rascal pick and not secured ?
  20. Got the reg no . Will call the local bobby in the morning . I normally lift the tail gate up but on this occasion I left it down . It doesn't help that there are no retaining pins on the hinge as quite often its used a a flat bed ? Lesson learned for the sake of a few mins I will lift the tail in future . I just cannot get over how off the cuff it all was to them
  21. Well I was happily grinding away some 18" Conifers Stumps today . Then all of a sudden I heard a loud clatter / bang . I then proceeded to check the odd noise out . What I found was 3 young scally wags whom nearly had my plant trailer tail gate off and away . When I confronted them they retreated to the safety of there High sided Tranny . Telling me that there father would be coming for me lol . How stupid / brazen are these people ?
  22. Last time I had the Mighty Jo out
  23. Why not contact all your local Golf Course's . I did this over 15 years ago and boy did it work . I offered a realistic day rate with all waste chipped and left on site . I am still getting calls from members who have seen me at work . So now I still do the Golf Course maintenance and the members trees Had a deal with a Garden centre a few years back . They recommended me for Tree Work and all the Replanting / Landscaping work I passed on to them I always ask new customers if I can improve my service's and if they have any ideas how as I would love to hear them . Most of the Ideas are tat but some have been very helpful
