Domestic or Commercial .....Delivered or Collected .......Birch , Holly , Beech ,Pine and Sycamore ..........with a bit of Larch . Also have a few tons of Apple and Pear . Some decent rings of Cherry . Some 2 year old oak logs ... cut and split . Also have some Long lengths of Holly left over from a felling job . The biggest lumps have gone for milling in Surrey of all places . Enjoy your Sunday people
  7. Imo.... I think your a top employer for even offering the option of training / certification locally or travel ? Heck that's a massive bonus . Kids these days really do expect to much . That is me speaking from experience .
  8. Whats wrong with the excellent deals you have just been offered .......?
  9. Hard earned wealth stored in a security box sounds dubious to say the least . Its probably been hidden from the taxman Family heirlooms ...fair point . Not everyone who has lost from the result of that robbery has spoken up yet ? ....Again may be Ill gotten gains ?
  10. Fair point geoff...... I really dont condone this type of activity . Although it just upsets me when people get jailed for robbery / theft when our government does this on a daily basis
  11. Well to answer this question properly . I must first state that some trees are friendly and some trees will try and trip you up .......much like people My song for a real tall tree is ... AC/DC ... Long way to the top if you want to rock n roll . Unfriendly tree ......... This is the song that pops right into my mind when the tree is being naughty .......Hanson MMMBop :lol: Only the lord knows why ........Search me Captain ????
  12. Old school crooks ..... love em I do . They always look after there own ... town /village friends and family . Eggs matey both me and you know that the biggest crooks are in politics . Cameron .....has how many house's ?.... does this excuse of a man need them all ? No its just pure greed by a spineless puppet .
  13. This all sounds excellent . Im going to make some phone calls tomorrow . Thanks for your input . Shame I have felled approximately 8 ton of Holly on this site up to date .........all has gone for firewood
  14. We have just felled a large twinned stemmed Holly . One trunk is 18ft and the other 13ft in length . Diameter 18" / 24" is this any good for milling . The remaining stump is easily 3ft 6" in Diameter and the same in height any good for carving . Seems a shame to firewood it ? South Cheshire if anyone is interested . I can get them to roadside .
  15. Regarding bad weather......get the tree down and stacked up .Chip and remove at a later date . Obviously if the land /garden will permit ? Otherwise have a big maintenance day .....and if the lads ain't mechanically minded get the buggers splitting logs ? ............... The most logs split in a day wins a meal ........Ha ha ha you guessed it only at my buy one get one free pub ...Love it I do
  16. IMO...... I really do think that the big chipper companies should supply a calibrated torque wrench which is suitable and pre set to there blade recommendations ....and can not be changed ? Makes sense to me . I also have other ideas ...... Although speaking with others at the moment so mums the word ......
  17. Looks really cool fella ...... I think he needs a nice sexy bigfoot lady .......Ooooohhh and then the baby bigfoots will follow

  19. I have bought a fair bit of gear off you in the past . Its all been quality and done the job extremely well Although this looks and feels uncomfortable as an investment . You would be better off pushing the screw splitter which is a low maintenance item
  20. Mains powered and its helped me out many a time . I also have a 14v rechargeable impact wrench which is handy but the clarke mains powered is the boss £ 70 ish . My eldest has a 24v Sealey impact wrench which he rates . He is a full time mechanic so it gets some use .
