  1. They like two tone green.
  2. First pic is how not to do it. Left that way by a major utilities contractor. Second is how a friend left it after getting a call from the irate homeowner.
  3. It says overhanging power lines and an oil tank. Hence the fell.
  4. That would be a fell imo. Thought it a bit iffy with the first one let alone the second.
  5. As the title suggests. Bought it from FR Jones last week. Already know what it covers though so selling. Will let it go for £25 plus postage costs.
  6. Look for a video on youtube. Is made bt August. He uses the tree angel for a speedline set up
  7. Must have a very forgiving highways dept' round your part of the country. We would be in big trouble doing that. Nice vid' though.
  8. Rig off the tree next to it? Would deff' climb it though.
  9. Would buying yourself a new one give you peace of mind? Is a lot to be said for obeying your gut feeling. If you are considering buying a new one maybe it's your instincts telling you something? Have just bought the new v2. Still at the stiff/uncomfatable stage
  10. Look after your hearing. Once damaged it never comes back.
  11. Have done mine. You have to cut the old ones off. Fitting is simple, feed the loop through the rings and girth hitch em. The other end you fold over and secure by the rivets supplied. 6 years is a long time to have a harness. Did well there.
  12. After reading another thread thought I better add more. Have 30/31/38/39. Large fell(old 32/33) aerial tree rigging(old 41)pa1/pa6a. Ua1. Ipaf MEWP. First aid and signing, lighting and guarding(chapter 8) Experienced in pruning, reductions and for clearance. Can take on large dismantles using rigging or cranes. Good groundie also and not adverse to dragging branches and raking when down from the tree.
  13. As title suggests. Looking to pick up the odd day or two over the xmas/new year period. I have own climbing equipment/ppe and climbing saw. 7 years experience and am willing to travel a resonable distance.
  14. May I enquire as to why, what happened?
  15. Nearly bought one about a year ago. With all the extras was still going to cost around 90 quid. Had two of the stein lids. Pretty good but super hot. Don't go for orange as colour really suffers from the sun. Ended up more peach than hivis.
  16. Probably won't happen if the rope has been climbed on too
  17. Know people that can but won't be CE certified so won't pass LOLER
  18. Yeah I noticed that I had it adjusted a long ways. Am 6ft so not short either. Will be good to get the weight off the back of the harness. Sounds like it works. You used the chest attachment for srt joe?
  19. Hiah Joe how you get on with fitting them. I bought a set and fitted but haven't used them yet.
  20. If you are against the stem then you can also set up a system called the o rig. If you look on youtube for hitch climbers guide to the canopy it is on there. Gives you super long thrusts. If away from the stem, footlock/foot asscender or srt. Can even use the haas with double rope.
