  1. Reverse into them and bang in a whiplash claim.
  2. Gardener mate has run them for years and swears by them. Definately won't be a one-horse race when my Stihl goes to the great hedgecutters knackers yard in the sky, I mean ebay....
  3. All pure gluteus maximus that mate. Have you not got yourself a TPO mask yet?
  4. Very true Dave. I never ask what other peoples prices are. If you need to do that you can't price properly. Discussing it after you have done/not done the job is ok, market research doesn't hurt. Being deliberately unfercut, sometimes by a fiver, is very different to being beaten by a genuine cheaper quote.
  5. Waiting for me when I got in. First impressions - Light, look smart, quite form fitting (think Hiflex) - my bum definately looks big in this!, very stretchy. They have a nice high back pad, and the zip seems ok. Poppers on the front pockets are a great idea, but the rear pocket (velcro close) won't get much use from climbers. Lacking a decent sized side pocket, or phone pocket (which may not be a bad thing!). The braces Les sent with them are by far the best arb braces I have used, very heavy duty, great quality. The material seems a bit flimsy (think Hiflex!). but we'll see how it wears. I went for type C as I want to give these a genuine review, and don't normally wear A's, prefer the extra thorn and bramble protection from C's. Pic to follow, when she's out the bath. Of me, not her.
  6. Same here with O2. That was for a 3Gs last year on an 18 month contract. My wife has the 4 - better camera, but doesn't fit in most i-docking stations because of the square base. Which means I play my tunes. Result.
  7. Harsh John. My last one was waterproof for a month at least.
  8. We shouldn't be placing ourselves in a 'fall arrest' situation, but we have to live in the real world sometimes.... Big swings seem to generate a bit of G.
  9. I think you can include VOSA and the Police in that mate!
  10. Always a problem choosing a size without buying. Too big, you look like Eminem. Too small, you look like you wear lycra shorts to the gym and put tints in your hair. Like Tommy B. It's a minefield.
  11. New set up. Invested about £40 on new bling with VAT. Moon Trad chalk bag - £15 4m Teufelberger Sirius 10mm - £7 ISC 3-way snap - £10 Lanyard not in my way all the time - Priceless! Thanks to Rock+Run for the bag and Honey Bros. for the bling - top service from both.
  12. Lucky man Rupe! Tegeras as well! Love the wrapping Yve!
  13. I wonder what the most profitable set-up in tree work would be then (and I totally agree that the return on investment in ag kit and earth plant is poor)? You can earn £250 in a day with a Silky and a set of loppers or £5k in a day with big kit, but which costs a fortune to buy, run and maintain. There must be some optimum point for expenditure vs. profit in arb. Where is it?!!!!!!!!
  14. Forgot about that Rich. Bolam junior due on 10th. What's the crack Jake?
  15. I believe they are aquainted Plip. I could do it Jake, if it isn't a reduction or something I can't see the top of!
  16. Agreed tree work is better bucks for your your bang than agriculture Nick, but some machines earn far more in other fields. Coffee with popcorn anyone?
  17. That's my kind of reduction Steve, good value for money for the customer. Have you got any pics of it now? I bet it came back lovely.
  18. It's a slum isn't it Phil. Lucky you didn't get mugged.
  19. Ditto Lorry. And NPTC certs up to unit 4? What's that - putting your boots on?
  20. Nice idea, but it falls down if the climber is stropped in. Which we all know he should be, if he was cutting when the accident happened. Which is the most likely time for an accident to happen!
  21. Left in '89. Uni in Sheffield. Kent since '93.
