  1. Gas heater here too, packs down in a James Bond style attache case. Just need to remember the milk every day!
  2. Short vid. Waggoners hitch off a small apple to pull the lump. Ross never removes his hat near my dogs any more after a regrettable incident where Hennie ate most of his brain.[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KDK8FqEj-FQ]YouTube - Willow lump[/ame]
  3. Few more. Chog chucked Prepare to lose your head Finito
  4. Spec was to leave 2 stems at 15', issues with drains, structural damage etc. Brash and cord stacked on site, so the day was a bit of a fun-fest. Ross Smith climbing, Stevo and me on deck. Had a play with the Spiderjack2 and loved it! Half rigged biggish with the RC2000, half bombed out. Good day. The tree Drop zone Ross surrounded Stevo surrounded Chog
  5. Tried Ross Smiths today and really liked it. Mmmmmmmmm...............
  6. Thanks for putting that straight Big Man, thought that was chequering, like my gunstocks! Very impressive figures, I'm like you with a decimal point moved! Good luck in your comps mate, and get some pics up if you can. Is a lifting vest worth getting just for day-to-day training? Don't want to kid myself I'm stronger than I am.
  7. Come on Alex. So some of your pruning cuts didn't go that well? We've all been there mate. That garage? you did well not to trash it completely! You're amongst friends here mate, let it out....
  8. The bit where the bar thingymajig goes fatter at the ends to stop the discs sliding into the middle! Let us know what you go for Steve. At our session tonight we decided we need dip and pull-up facilities in our Monday night gym (mates commercial garage, so plenty of space).
  9. Too many variables to suggest a size, but loading laterally eg branchwalking you can snap some biggish stuff, but putting weight straight down the stem you'd struggle to snap a walking stick. I personally prefer a chunkier anchor point so I can swing around dramatically and impress any small children who may be watching.
  10. Is that because of the knurling on the integral collars of the 6ft Steve?
  11. Description puts it 1.3m Steve, 4'4", so your 6' bar should span it easy.
  12. That looks more like it! Great site Big J, will be using that in the future no doubt.
  13. Here we go Steve. Even worse for chins than I remembered, the bar is only 6'2" off the ground, and the uprights catch your shoulders towards the top of the movement. Good for dips with 30kg on the belt though. Apologies for crap quality of pics, wife took them in a bad mood as we were late for taking the new buggy out for a spin!
  14. Ah. I'll do some chins on my Hotgym one this arvo and report back.
  15. So true Lorry! Steve, Google 'Bodysolid dipping station'. £165, looks very solid.
  16. Lets hope so. That's a long way for Drew to body-thrust with a Prussic....
  17. Let me have a look Steve. The unit I use is great for dips but wobbly for chins (use separate bar for them), I got it free in part-payment for a job. hotgym.co.uk There are better dipping stations out there, I'm sure. I was going to buy a very solid looking dip only station for around £150, but I'll have to find it later.
  18. Ha ha nice try Adam! The weather down here has been baking, and I've been dragging a fair bit, the Waipouas get a bit sticky/clingy when hot. Being black probably doesn't help. The lack of a phone pocket is a PITA after I've finished climbing. If you've got the dough, there's only one choice, but these are the second best trousers I've worn.
  19. I've done it all mate! Tricep work is key I think. Love my dips, both high reps or with a weighted belt. More cardio now the weather is good, so need to maintain the strength while losing a bit of fat. Weight hovers around 12 1/2 stone at the mo.
  20. Nailed 100 2 weeks ago.
  21. I get where you coming from Dave, customers see the ladders come out and think that the whole tree will be done from a ladder. Quickest access aid there is, though, especially on multiple trees.
  22. They're not back till the end of the week Mick, but I'm guessing she might be a bit jealous at first. I'm more worried about Benny the cat!
