Agreed. Goes against the grain a bit for me. Have to make do with claybusting (or not!) for a few months.

Of course I know it's safe, but I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks like this. Funny how a long, long way up a dodgy tree in the wind you start looking at all the flimsy little bits of tat that your life is hanging off!

Welcome Joe. Is that some kind of self-coiling pack for your lanyard on the back of your harness? I'm well interested in that! Not having 3m of lanyard coiling round my legs may make my life a little easier at times!

Oh well. At least he went to a Northumbrian college. Someone on passport control must have had a nightmare. I've just watched that Harris vid again. Far from tempting me to buy a Spiderjack it's made me realise how much I'm better at being a groundy than climber!

It's a 260. They eat every part of the chainbrake mechanism for breakfast. Awful saw for this defect. Sorry, not very helpful.

Sounds like operator error rather than carabiner failure to me. Prove me wrong by explaining what happened properly and providing pics.

As Taoupatreeman said, primer bulb on a climbing saw + jaggy connies etc. may not be a great idea. Especially for the lads and lasses that like a tab when up aloft!

Very interested in this Ian. Been thinking of having my '06 (old shape) 115 remapped simply to improve fuel economy. It carries chip and pulls my small TW easy enough, but I only average about 27mpg, and drive like a grandad. Looking forward to hearing your findings.
