  1. Your right richy it's not really worth it but also I don't want to be driving round local attotments trying to get rid if it either.
  2. £8 a ton your doing well I have been on £5 for 2 years now.
  3. Yeah thete normally in early which they are today aswell but it's only by luck as all they will promise is am or pm, for what they pay it's a waste of time having to hang around to load it if they ain't in first thing.
  4. Any one know of a firm other than stobarts who will take wood chip in West Yorkshire? I have always delt with stobarts but for what they give me a ton and i have to load it and now only being able to book an "am" or "pm" slot it's a waste of time as I have to have a man with a loader sat here just incase they make it on time!
  5. The problem you will have Ben with a lightweight machine of any make is your sending it out with guys, imo 750k machines are ok with owner operating as owners are more careful, write it into your business plan as a five year asset and sell it on when knackered.
  6. Am sure there good mates really.
  7. I ran a quadchip for a few years, was a good machine, pain to live with as everything is so compact service wise but like all 750k machines I would say the have a service life of 3 to 5 yrs before you start spending, the TW 230 looks good but is basically a 7" chipper built to a 5" weight! Something has to give. The little Vermeer looks and feels terrable. If I had to go back to a lightweight machine I really don't know what it would be.
  8. Beaver plant at Stamford Bridge. I know it's not WY but it's close!
  9. Want to buy a chipper Andy lol. You get a text message about deals on Arborist 150's by any chance?
  10. Might be interested Craig, details when you have them.
  11. That's Huck idea of pure hell!
  12. My lad loves his but says there bloody cold, I prefer a bit more ankle support hence a taller boot, I also hate having cold feet .
  13. I sold "Nigel" the 880 3 years ago and bought a second 660, not once in the last 3 years have I wished it was back. Unless your milling a lot it's pretty much a phallus enlargement tool!
  14. Sorry Huck, sods law now says on monday the sole will fall off! the only real problem I had with the Haix was the hooks and the pro's seem to have sorted that. I reckon your an airstream man in denial!
  15. No there mine jonny, I let the 2 lads choose what they want (within reason).
  16. So true, it's easy to build a site but getting the content right so it's found is a bit different. Invest properly as it's a valuable business tool.
  17. One other thing to consider is you can't get aftermarket pots for the 880, you can get pistons but no pots as no one makes them only genuine stihl, not a big issue with a new saw mind, just thought I would say.
  18. Lol work experience lads stubby.
  19. I did but those were the cheaper ones, Blue ridge or Blue Mountain can't quite remember but the pro's seem a much better boot and i guess they should be for £50 more.
  20. Had haix pro,s now fir a year, nice, comfy and waterproof, makes me laugh though as all the young collage lads have airstreams cos they look "cool"
  21. 661 for me aswell, used to have an 880 who we called Nigel after my yard land lord because it was over weight, numb, didn't work much and no one liked it!
  22. That is about spot on I'm sorry to say! Quantity over quality now.
