  1. Why not measure the back and do the maths, My relay c/cab tipper holds 2 cube level with the standard side boards.
  2. tough one this, but as a wild guess i think he wants to exchange it for money!
  3. 50 quid and i will pick it up on Monday jonny.
  4. Is this the same tractor you payed £1500 for a few months back? i remember the thread well.
  5. Same as skyhuck, (we do agree every now and then!) advise but if they insist then do it and take the money, if you dont and tell him to "naff off" he will spread the bad word about you and get someone else in to do it anyway.
  6. Still a half day David, how tuther arf live eh.............
  7. Morning John and all, hope its a good un. Stump grinding for me and a mountain of ivy for the groundie to rip down. Why 2:45 John, dont tell me thats when you L/A lot pack in for the weekend?
  8. Timberwold and greenmech are both good machines, i run a 9" greenmech and have no worries about buying another, Go for at least a 5" roller fed machine then you can do the bigger jobs, why limit yourself straight away to the work you can do simply because you have a small machine.
  9. Why wouldnt you touch greenmech with a barge pole then:confused1: there better built than timberwolf. Vermeer are good but not perfect by any means.
  10. there both good chippers but to be honest i would go a bit bigger as running at max capacity all the time will kill em and you will soon be looking to go a bit bigger, go for a 5 or 6" tow behind if you want it to last and last a while..... just my opinion mind.
  11. Try going to the tip 17 times on Saturday, that should shift it:laugh1:
  12. Totally agree Dave, but it seems insurance firms have one law to them and one for us............there all total tw@ts IMO. They wanted an experienced professional, but they couldnt afford one so got you instead. That was a joke Dave!
  13. Cracking saw the 192t lighter and not a million miles of the power of a 200t. gonna buy another soon, mines 18m old and has been hammered and still goes spot on.
  14. No, what seems like 15 mins to you and me in scotish terms is really half an hour.
  15. Remember he is Scotish Joe, time moves VERY SLOWLY north of the boarder!
  16. If i remember rightly dave, in another thread you did fay fair do's for anyone making ends meet and having ago! and it didnt bother you. Tis piss poor standards for an insurance company though, just goes to show there all money making robbin tw@ts who will do owt to get out of paying anything.
  17. I know, i feel ashamed on days like today, his greatness would of been playing with his steam roller though! LOL off up the gym, you mean your off to perv at all those bored housewives in tight tops............or is it the men in tight shorts?
  18. Morning all, pissin down here in yorkshire, office day and service grinder and chipper for me.
  19. Tend not to work in the wet unless its ground work, fencing etc, just cant be assed with getting piss wet throught by 9am and being like that all day only to end up ill 2 days later so your off work for a week. Tree will still be there another day. if its urgent then fair enough or if it starts raining during the job then carry on but i dont go out if its lashing down first thing. called today off as its been peeing it down all night here and still is, felled a load of conny's yesterday and god 12ft high by 10ft thick by 20ft long "wall" of ivy to rip out and stump grind, and i just know after the first 10mins im gonna be totally piss wet through, off back tomorrow if its fair, service grinder and chipper and sort some bills out today.

MMMMMMMMM simon payes you too well Big Joe!
  21. Spot on Rob, i have been asked twice for certs and insurance for domestic work, Every commercial firm i do work for has my stuff and H+S stuff on file, only to cover there own arse mind. I have been refered to "as the gardener" quite a few times, normally get the tree man or the wood cutter. The gen public dont really value tree work as such and most dont really value trees like they should. All those leaves all over the drive is a right mess you know!

I have just got a new one for this very reason, have "killed" 5 in the last 18 months with no insurance. Have stayed with the same firm (3) and got a new samsung B2700,Its a tradesmans phone, got all i need camera etc and is dust, shock and water resistant to IP 54 standard, and got free insurance off them as i threatened to move to Orange:sneaky2: Its about as roughty tuffty as you get and still have a ok looking phone other than the sonim S1 (Landrover phone). Or go with the samsung B2100 "tough Extreme" its a moire stylish version of the above, got one on trial from Orange but signle is crap round me so sending it back, 3 didnt do that one so i had to go for the 2700.
