  1. You clearly know nothing of this The government earns nothing from NPTC. The part of the government that is behind this is the Health and Safety Executive (think OSHA) who also don't get a penny from it but are mandated to protect people.
  2. All men are not equal, all fellers are not equal, I have seen some with diabolical bad habits that should not be passed on.
  3. Well that's one way to go but why would the machine be retired and would you want a gearbox from a machine that's got enough hours on it to get to the moon and back?
  4. Now that's just the wrong thing to say, it can be repaired its just a question of cost. A gearbox is cogs and bearings, bearings are off the shelf and cogs can be sourced or made.
  5. In order to get heave you need to have built a house on a desiccated soil where existing vegetation is the cause of the desiccation. Staged removal it bunk. Lets say if you removed it in one hit the soil will recover by 50% So you bosh it out in stages, the soil will still recover by the same amount, over a longer period, but it will still have the same amount of movement.
  6. Is the box beyond economical repair?
  7. Ummmmm Perhaps, more pictures please
  8. That's for a mobile crane, the protocols fro a mewp are different, most mewps aren't designed for "lifting" anything other than what's in the basket. The ALLMI training for mewps specifically prohibits using it as a crane
  9. I thought that at first glance but it is consistent with the bleeding canker we see such a lot of on HC, the lumpiness is just the gnarly bark.
  10. Yes......... but not if its a nail ridden lump of back garden filth
  11. And I have looked at it but its a diesel, you said yours is petrol and you said you would get some pictures, now who is the goldfish?
  12. Like I said, what parts????
  13. The point I was addressing was and smoking old wrecks don't last long when put to serious work like this so I doubt your "probably"
  14. The over ride switch cuts the engine sentinel out till the oil pressure builds, if you have a new oil pressure switch I would check the wiring for that switch There is always the possibility that the oil pressure is low, that could be low level a knackered pump or general wear in the engine

Your first post here concerned how the language had left you behind but you keep saying stuff I don't understand Whats a lower 48 and, don't say your waist measurement:laugh1:
  18. Send the boy into the village to bring me a ham and cheese sandwich, go on Luke run
  19. So I lost my proof of certs so I needed a new one. A few weeks ago I called the NPTC to sort it out and got no reply or answerphone all day long and I called dozens of times. The online form they want you to fill in and post wants payment details INCLUDING the secret number off the back of the card, well that wasn't going to happen so I didn't get my new card and went of muttering about piss poor service. So once again I am asked for proof of certs by a client so I called NPTC without much confidence. The phone answered within 2 rings, I told them what I needed, they took some details and payment and my new card is on the way, they did promise an email confirming the certs to show the client and that has yet to land but nevertheless we are looking at a much needed 100% improvement in service
  20. That was the standard fit engine
  21. Its not as eco bad as it might seem, your tranny load is a lot more inefficient than a big assed boat carting tens of thousands of tons at a time.
  22. That's brave, you haven't seen the chassis. Not even sure you can get the flexitor suspension units anymore
  23. Last one of those I owned threw a wheel off going down a Pennine hill and ended on its side in a ditch:001_rolleyes:
