  1. Its got this companies stickers on it, a quick call to them would shine a light light on it JR Plant - Crane Hire and Contract Lifts, Preston, Lancashire, UK
  2. A picture "borrowed" from somewhere else, a location remote and no feedback
  3. Fixed that for ya
  4. Hmmmm Unlikely but possible. The common factor is the oil, what oil are you using
  5. How do you recon that then? The company would be accountable IF they owned it, reading the blurb it is owned by the man privately.
  6. Did you read it before your knee jerked?? The spokesman added that a full restoration programme had been completed over two years ago
  7. Good site, simple and effective. Although work of that standard would sell if it were wrapped in nothing more than old newspaper
  8. When you do the arb loler course you get a cert that says you are competent to inspect arb gear for the purposes of loler, I don't know how much more arb you can get
  9. Well Lantra and NPTC set the standard and they are our industry
  10. Nope Loler is a piece of legislation, nothing more than words on paper. It says kit should be pukka and well maintained. NPTC/lantra/City and Guilds are the main agents for training and testing inspectors. Any judgement call is down to the individual inspector, arb is a dirty job and one of the main causes of a biner failing an inspection is crud preventing the barrel rotating and achieving the lock position. This has to happen when slammed shut and when closed under force of the barrel spring alone. Once clean they usually pass and whilst giving the used biner a dose of WD or similar I can well see how the inspector would hand a brand new unit back to the client for them to make the call. In this case they have sent the item back to the manufacturer who hasn't tested it in the same manner as the inspector that failed it.
  11. Try flowfit (on ebay) for your hydraulics. Liking the bevelled corners on the table, for next time the blade can be made from digger bucket edge material, its "ground engaging" so high in boron and more durable than most materials. The table is big but when you start processing arb waste you cant have a table too big. You might have left a little more toe room under the front of table but its not that much of a problem Nice job.
  12. As a freelancer I regularly find myself following chippers various and I can tell you all the single axle machines bounce like a rubber ball, they often "grab air" even on the most insignificant speed bump little wonder they end up horizontal now and again
  13. I need a labourer to assist with a job in Greater Manchester on Monday 5th Tuesday 6th Wednesday 7th Friday 8th Nothing arduous, a bit of small scale cutting if you have the appropriate tickets and PPE but you MUST have a CSCS card. Call me on 07973 560 633, no texts. Andy
  14. Collecting would be stretching a point, the example given is for materials taken to a work site, incorporated into it and left there, what you are describing is collecting it taking it to your production facility and processing it.
  15. Was the blade bed clean when the blade was installed? A bit of unevenness will crack a blade
  16. You chaps that know a lot about moths scare me a little. Puts me in mind of the scene in silence of the lambs where the baddie lovingly helps one of his pets out of its cocoon.
  17. Poplar hawk moth
  18. Apparently the switch that tells the computer the landing bay door is closed was faulty, you could probably have fixed it with a bit of gaffer tape, but I think that's against the rules:laugh1:
  19. I have one of those and you are right a battery powered grinder would make short work of it as would a gas axe, anything less would take a lot longer
  20. Depends what you are driving
  21. We went straight through on the way out and on the first leg I got lumbered with the smelly fat bloke in the next seat On the way back the plane broke down in Singapore so we got a night in a hotel, food, bed, pool, the difference was like night and day. When we landed in Auckland they chucked the camper keys at me and let me on my way, I was amazed since I had been on the go for 30 hours
  22. I thought that on exactly the same time scale, we are going back to NZ next year and trust me, I will NEVER go straight through again
  23. You aren't alone if you have a baby
  24. Whatever you do, break the journey up even if its just an overnight some place. flying straight through is a heroes work Hong Kong is a great place to stop, get yourself a suit made, visit Stanley market, do the funicular railway up Victoria peak but whatever you do get off the plane and into a bed for a night or three. Emirates all the way for me
  25. I will take the 076 please
