  1. Here is a pretty significant design fault that the manufacturer is going to have to address before it kills someone. On a serous note powder coat is pants on square edges and particularly stamped parts, it would only take seconds on a linisher to round the corner and stop it cracking and forming a lovely place for rust. A machine in fine fettle please

  16. I think he means the dealer won't want to deal with a grey import saw.
  17. You can only check it against the description, the time for wheel kicking was before the hammer fell
  18. They don't have hydraulic oil, the 990 uses UTO in the back end, that's why the pumps are usually down on pressure You cant mend a pump with new oil and hydraulic oil is thinner than UTO so it would be even lower on pressure particularly at operating temp.
  19. Buy a spider jack
  20. Had the airpower gold They were fine till I went to work in them, then they fell apart in 9 months 2/10 never again
  21. You can't renovate shims, they are what they are, if the relief valve is ok, leave it alone
  22. Take the nuts off around the PTO housing then lift the housing away, back and slightly upwards. Reverse to re fit, mind the pick up pipe
  23. More than I care to remember, they were made a few miles from here and are pretty common in these parts The pump is inside the PTO housing
  24. A new pump will bring it back to the 200psi Have you got the old pump off?
  25. Hi Simon When it rolled out of Meltham the pump would have making 2000psi Down to 1700 isn't good but its better than some Cleaner oil isn't going to make the pump produce any more pressure but it will last longer not pumping a decades worth of crud around the system. You can swap the pump out for a new one but an upgrade can bring you more problems. The system is set up around the 2000psi, you can give it more but a lot of the system is old school on rubber "O" rings and they often blow out with an upgrade. You can also can also blow the rings out if you replace a tired pump with a new one but that's something you have to live with. Replace the seals and its all good again.
