Try service metals, they have ally and GRP Service Metals For light as can be but not very strong try aluminium composite panel (ACP) which is more plastic than aluminium and will need a better frame than others. Its OK for a chip box but logs will kill it in no time at all.

Hmmm When we needed the extra long length for the "Holmfirth, half way up a vertical banking" job, I explained to the nice man at Marlow in Heywood said it was suitable for lowering. I don't think its static. Marlow's website describes it as "shock absorbing" Pre-Spliced Dockline Either way, I am well off for lowering kit but a bit of something for dragging stuff over wont go amiss. Got a clearance job breaking out tomorrow so I will give it a try on that.

Be that as it may they kind of had to extend the warranty on these units because the only alternative would have been a second recall, which would have been a catastrophe. Extended warranty bad, recall worse.

Am I not right in thinking that there is no actual dimension stated in the statute and therefore no statutory clearance? If that's the case you surely cant be "had" for exceeding a statutory dimension that doesn't exist?

Need a rope identifying I bought a length of this at a farm sale today Its 20mm dia. it has a 16 strand jacket and an 8 pair strand core, its got a small green trace. Any ideas?

So I made a couple of whoopee slings with some Antal rings spliced in to the ends Thought they might be useful for a bit of micro rigging and re directing a lowering line to keep it out of mischief. Note to self, buy some more shrink tube

Yup, any box chassis will do that, if you take the engine breather pipe and lead it in there, the oily vapour will help prevent the tinworm
