  1. You need to post your images for us all to wonder at. That's what you need.
  2. Thanks Darrin Just been looking at the OFFYA and the DEVIANTS that accompany it. I think it may be time to remortgage! In all seriousness though, it is clearly going to be eye wateringly expensive and as much as I would like one, I am sure that I could manage without it. I think it would spend a lot of time gathering dust in my shed.
  3. We are susceptible to tiredness and fat thumbs on occasion I suppose.
  4. Beat me to it Gary!
  5. I thought it was a ruse to stop it being found on a Google search! Actually I assumed the OP may be dyslexic. That doesn't make him or anyone else on this thread an idiot. I like to think "innocent until proven guilty". But I get your drift.
  6. Isn't the fir actually a Scots pine? .....Just sayin.
  7. What a great opportunity. If only I was 20 years younger and lived near Hampstead.
  8. My reaction to that post too Kevin. I cannot understand why some residents are getting so worked up about it, can you? and why consultants like Mr Barrell have spoken out about it. They must all be uneducated and ill-informed .
  9. By leaving adequate holding wood in the hinge and taking the wind into consideration whilst setting it up.
  10. What a stunning house. I am sure the next one will be miles better. Wishing you and your family all the best for the future.
  11. I would always water on planting no matter what time of the year. However your main watering should not really start until the buds begin to expand in the spring.
  12. Assuming the tree was sound, Do you think a decent hinge would have broken early with that side wind assuming the gob was set correctly?
  13. Im rather jealous of your shiny capstan. Is it any good for skidding?
  14. Another accident caused by kick-back. This time in Aukland New Zealand. Link to news article. I sincerely hope the young man pulls through. Be safe out there and remember to have at least 2 points of attachment before starting that saw.
  15. What is the likelihood of their insurers refusing to pay out given the shortcomings noted by the HSE?
  16. Here you go https://youtu.be/wrBG8kIiMC0 ok?
  17. Not sure how you have arrived at that tbh!
  18. Thanks. But I was looking for a video of it doing a decent run of 3 to 4 inch material, preferably without a backing track so that the so that the machine can be heard.
  19. Never mind the tree, who are the three fairies?
  20. Not sure how I transport that pole to site safely. Perhaps just an old hi-vis vest tied to the end and then strapped to the roofrack of my Bedford Rascal?
  21. Looks pretty good but I would like to see a longer video of it dealing with pieces at its maximum capacity. It looks like the video was terminated just as things were getting tough.
  22. No worries, I am really not that desperate for work. But I occasionally need a second climber/groundie myself and thought we might find some mutually beneficial ground. Anyway I hope you find your perfect match. Love and kisses Arctostaphylos uva-ursi
  23. I find they do help take the weight of a big saw and I use mine for that purpose. I have the Tree Austria Duo 3.1 and the harness shoulder straps are easily attachable/detachable with the three purpose made locking carabiners.
  24. Cant remember if I said already, but I would be interested in attending Duncan's Forking Seminar. So that's 2 of us at least!
