  1. Why does the old AA logo appear in the header of this page?
  2. Name and shame him so that others don't fall foul perhaps? Open a dispute with ebay? Leave negative feedback? Put it down to experience and move on? Any or all of the above!
  3. What, this one? [ame] [/ame] Ooops!
  4. Then just get yourself a fifty meter tape (one item) and bend over!
  5. Chortle
  6. So, are you leaving the poles?
  7. The competition can only be a good thing for the end user. No?
  8. Yep. They all want black walnut nowadays. Do you have any black walnut?
  9. No I don't think it works for gas lines. Yes it is to do with electric fields/magnetism.
  10. Sorry my response to your post is interwoven with your quoted original post. But I am sure you worked that out!
  11. I trust this is of some help. Climb safe.
  12. Can be used to find ley lines as well.
  13. You can also potentially measure branch length/crown spread using the missing line feature. Well you can with the 360b I assume the 200 has the same function?
  14. Perhaps it was supposed to double up as a fire escape.
  15. As you said it was dead since 2015 I personally wouldn't risk the straight fell as dead elm tends to shatter quite spectacularly on impact. A decent climber should have that reduced to a pole by elevenses. I think a crane is overkill. But if your client is willing to pay the extra for the cherry picker then why not?
  16. ....these are a few of my favourite things. when the saw bites, when the chipper sings when Im feeling mad.....
  17. I hope the Holford arms is a bit better prepared for it. It was a bit of a bun fight the first year.
  18. Yes I realise that! The question was originally asked under the premise that I thought the rope wrench was already CE approved. My mistake:confused1:
  19. Ouch That would go well as your profile picture!
  20. The difference is that TMS relies on natural loading of the canopy (i.e. by the wind) whereas Tree Pulling relies on a load being physically applied (i.e. by tirfor). We opted for TMS in the end because it is easier to apply in tight situations and doesn't upset the public!
  21. .....and I thought they were beech! sorry I'll get my coat. Very true though Ed.
  22. +1 for the constrictor. But can be difficult to untie. A simple clove hitch would probably suffice.
