  1. No sorry. I just googled "chainsaw injuries" and it kind of jumped out at me. It has put me off my mince and tatties.
  2. This one might put them off a bit.
  3. If you want you can send me the photos and captions and I'll do it for you. Just PM me.
  4. If Elgin is on still on your list of places not to miss, then why not pop in at New Cumnock, Lesmahagow and Hamilton on your way up. They are all within spitting distance!
  5. I would say its at I,3
  6. A community woodland near me actively encourages owners to take a stick and flick the offending turd off the path into the rough, rather than bagging it. I love this common sense approach to the problem!
  7. I am about to undertake my PA6 Training. The letter I received from the trainer lists the equipment I need to bring, which includes spare nozzles/filters. I have a couple of nozzles but was wondering which ones I would need for the course. Also what spare filters are required? Does anyone here know? incidentally I have a Berthoud Vermorel 2000 pro.
  8. Scratch my previous guess, based on the history now provided and additional pictures. Beech appears to be highly susceptible to developers! It looks to me that the levels have been raised in the root zone. Probably compacted by site traffic before hand. Do you know who the developers were? Is this in Aberdeen?
  9. Difficult to say as they appear to be long dead. At a guess I would say possibly a combination of inundation and road salt. That's my best guess from the pics provided.
  10. Beat me to it!
  11. Shame there isn't a picture of the underside too. But I would hazard a guess at I.hispidus.
  12. Nice place to work. I like the design around the urn. Is the lighter stuff variegated box? What is the purple/maroon stuff - Berberis? I cant quite make out what you have been up to in the last two.
  13. Cheers. I am going to look out for one myself. The bottom has fallen out of my pole bag and a new one is more than £90.00.
  14. Ah I thought as much. Good stuff. How are you getting on with it? Is it fairly straightforward?
  15. Kevlar thread sounds good stuff Mayhem. What are the thermal insulation mats for? Dean I like the look of your machine as the bed (not sure that's the right term) looks good for doing intricate stuff. Is that what made you go for it or was it recommended? My father can knit and sew. Years ago it was a necessity and I think they are great skills to have. I would like to be able to sew heavy materials so that I could repair and make strong bags, sew webbing etc.
  16. What sort of thread do you use with that machine? What model is it?
  17. What was it? A Douglas-fir? Nice kipper by the way!
  18. Agree the are more radiata like (fatter and not as grey as LP). I think you are worrying to much. The timber does not look particularly big and heavy. Just make the cuts as advised or alternatively hire a mewp.
  19. Lodgepole pine is my guess or possibly radiata depends on whether the cones are near or far away!
  20. If you find any let me know as the site given says out of stock. Bah!
  21. Those look pretty good Tony. Though not load bearing the gare does appear to have a catch. So they are likely to be better than the stein ones. Nice price too. Thanks for posting that.
  22. I have been looking for the same for the same reason. Those cheap karabiners always fail/deform under load because they do not have a pin and catch in the gate. The smallest I have found are wire gate crabs from the local climbing shop like this.
