  1. Final tree of the week...both conner and bear dismantled it down....stein block....ticked!
  2. Heavily medicated by midweek....meanwhile, multi-stemmed conifer incorperating telegraph pole; box....ticked!
  3. The Whirlwind machine is incredibly fast..I really like vids like this...gives me extreme confidence in my rope...
  4. What a week...just when I thought I'd shook this bug after a month of suffering...it returned with a vengance! Almost felt like a chest infection...knocked me for six...hopefully now it's loosening it's grip.i know a lot of people have been afflicted by the same:thumbdown: still....life goes on! It was a week of many disciplines of tree work for the apprentice.if you teach em the safe and methodical way it's really satisfying to see them progress...the week began with a leaner on a house along from where a windmill once turned from the 1700's...which made my day because after Trees...Windmills are my most favourite thing.

  10. Yes Mark,BLUE T...and ZigZag is Perfection.....great performance....fantastic visibility in the tree...anchor it onto a pulley saver and you have a modern climbing system that is so energy saving and so simple to use!

    Makes a lot of sense....and its not rocket science. "anyone not done Douglas Firs.....they snap like carrots"... great Thread/post as always.

  19. Great Film...I'm sure they are Planes along the river in front of the Tower of London...certainly there now cos I've worked on some. Much less traffic then...those streets are now filled with taxis, buses and 7.5 tonners from City Suburban and Gristwood and Toms...and if your really lucky you may catch a glimpse of Stephen Blair's old Unimog being driven past Hyde Park:cool:
