  4. Excellent post Samuel:thumbup: those pics certainly brought back memories...we had some great climbs and a few fast cycles!...I know what you mean about London....I miss Mrs Fox a lot and I reckon in the 5 years I was there I looked at every single A380 that flew overhead...Amazing aircraft...Samuel do me a favour....upload your parachute jump from Dubai onto you tube then post it here...it's cool as!
  5. Well observed Sherlock I was looking at pictures of when we first met.My life is better with her in it and like a lot of relationships, she keeps me on the straight and narrow....but unfortunately she will never leave London. So there lies the dilema.i know that I need to move away from treework and into teaching and I want to get into Arb Multimedia and writing/photography in a big way but my heart tells me that I need to combine this with seeing her on a regular basis...moving back to London is NOT an option......

  11. After a very stormy night in which I thought the roof of the cottage was going to blow off.....a beautiful sunrise. I expected to see deadwood all over the place but the trees had survived the night....enjoyed what could be one of my last mornings in tbe cottage before I downsize to something cheaper...coffee in front of the T.V. I don't find much on that makes me laugh but Sheldon does:D took a tearful Mrs Fox to the train station.....time now to reflect and plan.
  12. Mrs Fox leaves soon...I have had the best time in Scotland with her...after five years she really does know me better than anyone.she is such a good inflence on me and only wants me to achieve my ambitions and dreams...I didnt realise how much of myself I left behind when I left London....she is the other half of me and I need to find a compromise...she is such a positive person....

Ben's is very cool...like Ian said the sawdust plume looks great ....fracture pruning and (shearing off) using rigging to control it is great modern Arboriculture...love it! Could anyone Familiar with this part of Scotland please reccomend me somewhere to drive to within 20 miles or so of Edinburgh that may be of interest to me and wor lass:) it must be Tree related...I did see a valmet or Ponsse up on the side of an embankment next to the motorway harvesting wood but I didn't think the missus would appreciate scrambling up the muddy grass to get a closer look:rolleyes:
