My Sister's house has a few quirky features including a rather beautiful fireplace...the painting shows the unfortunate ending to Lady Jane Grey.
  7. OMT...the idea is to move up tbe ladder and get into a career which allows me to persue an area of Arb I feel would suit me better at the point in my life...any spare days I may have I would still offer my help to the Bang Tidy Team. .but I need to move away from tree work.

  9. I really am ready to leave the cottage...I can't afford it and I have been living with my parents for three weeks now...but the landlord is holding me to my contract...therefore I am still paying...but there is light at the end of the tunnel...only one week to go and to help pay my bills the landlord has asked me to fell a few dead trees on his land...took 6 trees down. Hopefully I can hand the keys over next week...I need to move on and prepare for my interview at Kirkley hall college and the next phaze of my life!

  14. My disaster of an Omlette this morning was an indication of how I was feeling...Scrambled! been tired and full of cold for over three weeks now...an hour later I began to pick...maybe this was the tail end if my illness. A nice photo opportunity as Conner and Bear shared a tree....they seem to be bonding a little too well:D Oh well...whatever makes them happy. They reduced tge height if a copper beech in fine time and I cleared it up....the drag was so muddy that it felt like I had trench foot by the end of the job:rolleyes: they are both very good climbers now and are certainly the future of the Bang Tidy Team...
  15. I will always prefer Silky! Or Silky Fox. My thread has shaped who I am now...and that's the way I like it...yup there is so much more to this industry than tree work. Teaching/writing snd Photography being my future choices:thumbup:

  17. Well Moose....there is more chance of you running around Ealing Common in just a Onsie and your Protos helmet than me returning to LondonShire:D
  18. Ditto that...wash my rope regular....
  19. Jeez......I seem to be remembering all the good bits about London right now..don't know if it's cos I have been trawling through all my old pictures or wether it's cos I'm going through a transition period...working at City Suburban was an eye opener....fleets of 7.5 tonners and unimog hitting the streets of centrsl London was like nothing else I have ever witnessed in Tree work....Urban forestry at it's finest...met some characters from other corners of the globe...like "...Kneebone...Fish and Birdy and Rambo... Shannon lim.....Tiger and Dale Thomas...first kiwi's I'd ever worked with....good guys...from another world...an interesting chapter...Good climbers...but for me I had the most respect for City Suburban Director..Scott Ferrens...I admired that bloke a lot...he had a tough job...every tree surgeon should do a stint at City Sub...commercial Speed at it's quickest:cool:
