  1. Just to sidetrack Timon were you into the Acid House/Original Rave scene? I ask as I am listening to oldskool tunes at the moment.Quite an appropriate one at the moment.
  2. They are all sentimental.I enjoyd using the Spiderjack which was my first mechanical device but I just love the ZigZag and now I know how smooth it runs on Srt I will continue using it.
  3. I have a historical collection of ZigZags including one of the first that I was kindly given by an Arbtalker after a competition many years ago now.
  4. Keep your distance this weekend and have a great one Arbtalkers!
  5. Sounds like you have the ZZ Mk2? Keep it clean, don't cross load it happy climbing.
  6. And the best thing is..I will only find it easier over time, refine my technique and evolve as a climber. The whole experience made it one of my best Birthdays ever!
  7. I,very always enjoyed evolving my climbing styles and systems but this is exactly what I was looking for at this time in my life and for what I have coming up in my life.I,m hooked????
  8. As I took my first steps I could tell I was going to love this.Even the sensation of going up with no stretch on the rope was thrilling. The HAAS was a good as I had heard it would be.The Chichane moved smoothly up ahead of me and with several years on a ZigZag I instantly felt at home.I spent a couple of hours going up a down perfecting my technique. After about the third ascent I had I down pretty good.Lots of quick small step almost like pedaling.
  9. On the advice of Rich Rule I would keep my first go simple and use a base anchor.First bit would be simple as I am quite handy with a throw bag.Perfect day to move from moving to stationary rope system.Exciting moment for me as I hoisted the virgin line
  10. Anyone who went to Houghal College may recognise this Tree. It,s in the Beech woodland used for training and the last time I was up this was for my climbing assessment back in 96.So it was a poignant reunion.
  11. To complete the Birthday Fitness triple I would need to get up a Tree and I have had it on my mind to save my first attempt at Srt for this occasion. Now was the time!
  12. On the 22nd I turned 52 (I had thought I was going to be 53 for the last few months but an old school friend had to remind me) so I have gained a year. And although we have challenging times ahead I look at the bigger picture,my life as a whole and 2020 is still looking like it will still be the year of the Fox.I am beyond super excited for what I already know lies ahead for me.I Just need to be patient as there is no hurry and nothing set in stone time wise. But by the end of this year or later I shall be experiencing an exciting new life. All good things come to those who wait.So in the meantime I shall keep isolated other than solitary morning exercise.I began Sunday with some weights It,s a long time since I lifted as I have gone down the route of cardio which I really enjoy. After a few sets I dusted of old faithfully Darkstar and enjoyed an invigorating 5 Mile or so sprint around the empty cycle lane.

  20. Been keeping my head down for a few weeks now and my hands clean other than a bit of Tree work.Been explaining for a while to my Grandkids that we will probably be apart for a long time but we will meet in the Virtual world.Panic free and ready for anything I made sure my old folks are prepared and a couple of the elderly residents of the street.Stocked up on razors and visited the barber shop very first thing. No one about in the City at that time which was so peaceful, only the sound of birdsong.Sat alone while I waited for the barber to do her final sanitize of the chair etc....Got a Corona cut and left. The shop closed for good later that day.Walked home through the empty woods along the riverbank with just the wonderful signs of Spring all around me.Back to isolation.keep positive, keep out of the way of others,Keep safe Arbtalkers.
  21. Plenty of exercise.Stopped going to the Gym a couple of weeks ago so I will be turning to my bicycle and perfecting my SRT for the next ten days and enjoy the Spring.
  22. Toby is a true tree climbing dog.
