  1. The big excavator would come along to gather the arisings and it would be munched.Never exciting work clearing this sort of stuff as we all know but just a case of head down and crack on.Work is work.
  2. No trees were harmed...But many,many metres of hawthorn,holly and elder were Slashed and dashed?
  3. Although the snow had gone the ground was very soft and full of water....Plan B. Slash n' Dash
  4. Brought the 161T and 220 to let the lads have a demo along with an Espresso.
  5. Always reminds me of an elephant's foot with its toenails worn away by pedestrians and tarmac machines over the years.
  6. And how about this fellow? Stepping over the low wall is my second favourite Tree in the area.
  7. Certainly a very different kind of morning greeted me as I arrived near Harewood house.The sun was warm and it was nice to see the typical Yorkshire stonework.
  8. Three hour drive through the snow on monday compared to today where I am looking at a 1 hour 22 minute pleasure cruise in Brilliant sunshine.The great British Weather.Time for a stop at one of my favourite services.Costa del Wetherby.?☀️
  9. Back to the motorway heading south again.Not as unpleasant as monday in fact 1 degree is a temperature I,m very happy working in although the forcast says it will get much warmer later.

Steve and Gand, this is such a nice wholesome thread.A new life is the greatest of all the gifts life can give.I look forward to seeing pictures of theit first meetings with trees.I introduced oscar to the trunk of a whitebeam when he was a couple of months old.He was fascinted and has called me Grandad Tree ever since he could talk.
  13. Every time is see one of your pictures I am truly stunned at the magnitude of the sheer size of these Trees! (And you have some great models in there too to help create scale)

  15. And today this was the place I chose to eat this fine growler.So yeah it was a different kind of day,but a pretty usual kind of day for me.
  16. I just love the form of it....I was set up on a blind date when I was staying here.This is where I met her.I was up the tree?. She was from Singapore.True story.
  17. And just around the corner from my favourite Tree in Otley is this fine piece of stonework created to remember the navies who died building the tunnel.
