  1. great movie, some of the roll casting is awesome to watch, proper art i try it and the line lands in the water like a pack of cards:001_rolleyes:
  2. great for roots and rubbish wood, i also use one on my fencing saw seems to handle hitting nails better than a normal chain. not for tree surgery though, but has its place in the arsenal.
  3. ive got a big ash stem to take down (4' x 12') with some interesting twists this week, but its all going to firewood i just thought i would tell you You pick up the pimp mobile yet j?
  4. if he looked like this taxi driver he could go as fast as he liked
  5. Are you tired and fatigue though? i hardly sleep as well even when i constantly trained for comps i still had the same sleep pattern about 5 hours a night so it may just be your make up. you will sleep plenty when your dead:biggrin:
  6. We get offered tea on most jobs and the ones we dont get offered i ask them to stick the kettle on and do they need a hand carrying out the biscuits I think clients respond to a bit of banter and if you are friendly they are friendly back, i also think it matters that as a small company they meet me in the pricing stage then doing the work rather than sending guys to the house that they have never met as the ice has not been broken as yet. We had a old lady client ( shes dead now the wee soul) used to proper feed us table out in the garden then proper 3 course lunches and if it was raining she would set the table up in the conservatory, i left a guy there who does some slabbing for me and warned him about the amount of grub he got fed so much he fell asleep on a chair in the conservatory:blushing: she woke him up an hour later with a cup of tea Legend. RIP
  7. i am thinking of buying it now to make one for a laugh
  8. get that nest robbed, mark what did you do with the exess poison just pour it in the pond?
  9. do you smoke alot of weed hama??
  10. As clay says it has its place on certain sites but it never goes as solid as concrete and ive seen full fences blow over with postcrete broken and still in the hole you will never get that with concrete. i also use fast set extra strong cement so i can do the posts in the morning and start nailing the rail on in the afternoon and as i always use a nail gun there is very little movement not like the old hammer days where you had to wait till the mix set solid or you would shake it to death But its all about personal choice, try both and find your preference:thumbup1:
  11. just so cool........
  12. what a brilliant thread its like cartoon cavalcade but funny i vote client with the winter off and three holidays a year
  13. Never been asked for one
  14. yes the 25x150x1800 boards with a 75mm gap so as the wind will pass through but it closes it right down as i tend to use 50x100mm rail. i never use postcrete always concrete:thumbup1:
  15. £55 to £65 per metre depending on access and the ground, i tend to be a bit more expensive on new builds as the ground is full of rubbish 4" down and digging can be a killer:biggrin:
  16. Vertical or horizontal boards? is the fence 1.8m high.
  17. burnings too good for them, a terrible way to act
  18. The price i come up with is dictated by : if i have a large electricity bill in or i need a new cartier watch, but if im doing fine i sometimes give the client money to work with trees just because tree work is so super dooper brilliant.
  19. Best of luck with it ace
  20. Mike throw it at the base of the tree and tell the client it affects the satellite reception, you will get lots of felling work.
  21. someone banned!!! oohhhh i missed it what was said??someone pm me as i wont be able to sleep
  22. +1 on the Hangover. superbad was another funny one just for the name Mclovin.
  23. i dont do the hourly rate thing for the client i just price it as a job.
  24. very true Rupe tastes do differ although so do times and moods, i may be a bit harsh on them two as i could watch them in a couple of years and enjoy them but at the moment they were poor. i remember going to see platoon and thinking "yeah it was ok" then seeing it years later and really enjoying it.
