  1. a small petrol jenson i think it was about 5 inch, it was perfect for the smaller jobs as we were running a 10 inch chipper tow behind on another pick up.
  2. i built it so i could park easier in the town it fed from the passenger side so everything could get brought out the garden and go right through the chipper, it was a bit high though i had it mounted on heavy duty engine mounts, i could also take the grinder on a small trailer and do the full job. it was handy on some jobs and a pest on others but nothing is perfect.
  3. i built one years ago mounted behind the cab on a nissan cabstar that fed into a tipping chip body, it was great, i have some pictures somewhere i can look them out if you want and post them later.
  4. 100 the harness
  5. £80 then because its a very worthy cause
  6. No i dont think that is Stevies attitude, but surely you have to make the call on an individual basis with regards to the targets if the tree does fail? im sure if this tree was in a woodland/park site then sympathetic pruning could be undertaken to give the tree a few more years but not overhanging a couple of houses on a cliff edge.

  17. this beech canopy failed in the high winds i was in felling the stem, it split in half when it hit the ground..
  18. very true, but if they are on a budget why would they pay £300 for a saw that you can get from jonsies for £150? Are you a dealer for these saws Mr Butler? i think the price would need to be close the AMA price for them to sell.
  19. twice the price of an AMA saw then, £300 seems quite expensive for that saw.
  20. looks very similar to an AMA. what price are they?

  22. i would bite the bullet and buy proper WRC shingles i shingled a couple of roofs one one about 20 year ago and its still fine, its false economy to try and go cheap with a roof you will pay for it many times over if it leakes ( ive learnt that lesson the hard way!!) Remember and get the copper nails with the shingles good luck with it
  23. cut it down and stick it in the tate gallery be worth about a zillion quatrillion pound
