  1. they dont look like any rim sprocket i've ever seen, but carlton make reasonable kit... give it a go. i'm pretty sure there are stihl rim sprockets listed on the 200t ipl, i know they list a .325 sprocket (that ive never heard of anybody running) but obviously thats never an issue because you'd replace a sprocket long before it had a notch worn into it...

    395xp

the dual port muffler must be standard in oz... its optional in the us

    395xp

where have you noticed this? tell stihl, they dont seem to have noticed:001_tongue:

    395xp

395 will take any bar the 660 will
  5. tree_beard

    395xp

there is little between them.. only preference... unless running 30+" bars all the time i'd have a 390xp tho, less weight and vibes and better filtration
  6. still in pre production test phase by all accounts... end of the year? next year> who knows..
  7. there are pics of it out there in the interweb... it is basically a 460 with a new stratocharged top end, shares lots of parts with the 046/460. looks pretty much like a 460 with a kinda elongated filter cover
  8. there is a few on US ebay... the saw was discontinued in the mid 80's, you are unlikely to find a dealer with one on the shelf... you might find a whole saw under a bench somewhere.
  9. keep up rupe, its his shiny new 6t 5700kg is my guess
  10. i'd look at isuzu's. in my experience solidly built and nice to drive. not as agricultural as rangers but not as 'fairy' as nissans or l200s...
  11. any more pics? is the worry it uprooting itself or structural collapse? able to guy it up the hill?
  12. the 'Log Jill' surely...
  13. get a heavier groundy? i dont think there is a middle ground between wrapping around a device and wrapping around the tree....
  14. thats kinda what sprung to mind by the square bark description
  15. doesnt sound like box, box has knobbily bark (that is likely long gone after 30 years)... pics?
  16. yes, they made it yellow
  17. same saw as the ama... and the zenoah, efco, oleo-mac, redmax and husky t25... a zenoah design, that was licensed to the italian saw companies. then husky baught zenoah and re-badged it for themselves. the ama is italian made and comes with a years warranty (same as the stiga and efco/oleo versions), why spend an extra £150 for a 'named' brand (especially when the name is not of a decent saw company anyway?!)
  18. how good is that! nice one jamie long live yale cordage and all who dangle off her
  19. thanks for the link:001_smile:
  20. i'd say its better for the winch to remain stupid and just pull, and the operator to use a bit of intelligence to keep out of trouble...
  21. the decomp will be the same as any other husky decomp button, or there is a screw in blanking plug available if you dont use it anyway.. either should be a couple of quid from your nearest dealer. some parts might be available from husky still, go to a husky dealer armed with a part number and find out (or maybe pm justin) http://weborder.husqvarna.com/order_static/doc/usa/2001/I01000/I0101102.pdf
  22. ahh cheers, makes sense, i always thought kwikchip didnt sound very germanic... whats the story with the euroline name? tunnissens rebadged by someone else?
  23. does 3 strand rope posess any qualities that make it particularly un-suitable for rigging deadeyes? as long as the mbs is in line with that of the rigging rope used of course... for example 20mm marlow nelson 3 strand- av static strength 6210kg, used to hang hardwear for running 16mm yale xtc-12 (4000kg mbs)? I'm just thinking that its cheap, and any monkey can splice it quick as a flash...
  24. by my reckoning, kwikchip became tunnissen, and tunnissen were baught last year by saelen... eric hunter ltd are the uk saelen distributer, so i'd ask them... good luck
