  1. Been posted on here lots already.
  2. Most charge now.
  3. Check this one out. It can be mounted on the dipper arm or used free standing. Make sure you look at it on page 5 as well as its finished & painted then.
  4. I have one I use on my 3.8 tonne digger. It was an ex BT one (12") that was much much longer so I cut it down & had a new plate made up that I welded on. I have looked at getting a large screw cone to adapt it but they tend to be quite costly & I have a grab on the digger for picking the logs up & a hydro splitter on the tractor so cant justify it. I would not get a hydrocrack to fit on one as the spin speed is much slower than a pto drive.
  5. They should be 50m apart.
  6. I thought the exemption was for the 3 D's? Dead, Dying or Diseased
  7. You can make a stove by drilling a large hole in the end to a depth of about 12" & then drill in from the side to meet it. You can try to hollow out a cavity where they meet to help it get started. Light some kindling in the side hole & keep the fire going. After a while it will not need any kindling to keep it going. Works similar to a rocket stove.
  8. If you have started the felling cuts then its game over & needs to be felled.
  9. I think had the council stopped him by using the planning laws on change of use he would have been ok as its been going on long enough for it to have some rights. However I think that the TPO is an absolute & he is prob lucky they only want to shut him down & not take it to court. But I am just some RBOTI (random bloke off the internet) so get proper legal advice.

    Jokes???

Fifty Sheds Of Grey now offers a treat for men. Here are some extracts for you to enjoy......... I lay back exhausted, gazing happily out of the shed window. Despite my concerns about my inexperience, my rhubarb had come up a treat. She stood before me, trembling and naked in my shed. “I'm yours for the night,” she gasped, “You can do whatever you want with me.” So I took her to Nando’s. We stood alone on the idyllic white beach. She shed her clothes. I shed my inhibitions. At that moment I knew it would always be about sheds. We tried various positions – round the back, on the side, up against a wall... but in the end we came to the conclusion the bottom of the garden was the only place for a good shed. She knelt before me on the shed floor and tugged gently at first, then harder until finally it came. I moaned with pleasure. Now for the other boot. Ever since she read THAT book, I’ve had to buy all kinds of ropes, chains and shackles. She still manages to get into the shed, though. “Put on this rubber suit and mask,” I instructed, calmly. “Mmmm, kinky!” she purred. “Yes,” I said, “You can't be too careful with all that asbestos in the shed roof. I'm a very naughty girl,” she said, biting her lip. ‘I need to be punished.’ So I invited my mum to stay for the weekend. “Harder!” she cried, gripping the workbench tightly. “Harder!” “Okay,” I said. “What’s the gross national product of Nicaragua?” “Are you sure you can take the pain?” she demanded, brandishing stilettos. “I think so,” I gulped. “Here we go, then,” she said, and showed me the receipt. “Hurt me!” she begged, raising her skirt as she bent over my workbench. “Very well,” I replied. “You've got fat ankles and no dress sense.” “Are you sure you want this?” I asked. “When I'm done, you won't be able to sit down for weeks.” She nodded. “Okay,” I said, putting the three-piece suite on eBay. “Punish me!” she cried. “Make me suffer like only a real man can!” “Very well,” I replied, leaving the toilet seat up. My body writhed and quivered from the pain. I had learned my next lesson. Never again would I leave an upturned plug on the shed floor. “Pleasure and pain can be experienced simultaneously,” she said, gently massaging my back as we listened to her Cold Play CD.
  11. Check out the chilli penguin range. They actually make them so can alter them to fit if needed.
  12. Supplies to non domestic can also be sold with 5% VAT if the delivery is "de minimis" It then goes on to say that De minimis rules apply as long as there is no intent for the fuel to be resold. So you could supply a commercial unit with wood at 5% VAT as long as they intend to use it themselves. All quotes from HERE
  13. The bookcase dint take long as the planks fitted in my thicknesser. Prob about 4 or 5 hours ish in total. The table took much longer, more like a full days work spread over 3 days.
  14. I made these two items this week. Both are presents but for different people. First off a coffee table. Take two ugly looking planks and some time & a hand planner Testing the fit before cutting the top to size Just need some more coats of oil & a good polish and then the bookshelf
  15. You can join a "local" buying group via the Boiler juice website. They do Red now too.
  16. Most makes have an output guarantee of more than 80% production after 20 or 25 years.
  17. Efficiency does not matter. A 4kwp array is a 4kwp array, it matters not if thats at 1% or 99% efficiency. All increases in efficiency do is reduce the size of the array.
  18. Remember this thread? Well I have just got round to testing the genny. I was waiting for a cheap PTO shaft to come my way but it was low priority so I dint want to lay out much (ok any) cash either. In the end I got a new one that came with my new PTO powered log saw. So with the borrowed shaft in hand it was time to check it out. Took all the panels off & gave it a good clean out. It all looked in very good nick. Bearings felt smooth & sounded like a good bearing should. Brushes (all 4 as there are 2 on each slip ring) are all in good condition & nice & long. Slip rings could do with a polish up but as its not going to be used again for a while I decided not to. So time to spin her up. As soon as the pto speed picked up the indicator light for under speed came on followed by correct speed light at about 47htz which stays on till about 51htz when the over speed light comes on. Voltage was a nice steady 240v. Tested it with a 1000watt table saw. No change in htz or voltage so thats good too. Just need to sort out a proper mounting for it now as its still bolted to the reinforced pallet it was delivered on
  19. Try using a different type of gas like this one
  20. Have you never watched Grand Designs? The architects get it wrong all the time. Make sure you check what is really good & what is bling.

Arrrrg. After all that when I told him he needed to check out about a tacho he says he is not going to bother cos the firm that sold him the trailer dint say it would need one & that when delivering it they dont use one. Horse & water come to mind.

Corr blimey its a mine field. So that makes it clear that there will be no O plate needed as the tow vehicle will not be over 3500kg (the stuff online seemed to suggest that it was the train weight & not the tow vehicle weight). Does that not depend on if you have a pre 1999 licence or not?

As the trailer can not carry any load as the trailer is part of the "machine" that is fixed to itself is does not have any unladen weight. In effect you are towing a trailed device (like a chipper) & not a load carrying trailer. Adding rear weight will reduce nose weight but also affect handling considerably. Plus I would expect that the police & VOSA would use "book" weights as well as actual weights when looking at legality. I can find under 50km exemptions which apply but not any other that def apply.
