I saw this at the APF and was tempted to buy one, I think they are around 4k. Looked very simple and easy to use but the end product is a bit unsightly. Didn't look any more dangerous than any other machine, it has a guard over the intake. I think the video is a bit misleading

I googled Timberwolf today and on their ad it say's they have 6000 customers or words to that effect which got me thinking. If an average price for a timberwolf was say £9,000. £9000 x 6000 = £54,000,000. That can't be right can it?. We use Timberwolf at work and bearings do need changing from time to time but a small price to pay for a good machine.

John Clegg tend to have the best selection/turnover in my opinion. We had been looking for a woodland for around 4 years and looked all over the country before we finally found one close to home. We now have a 38 acre wood with 12 acres of grassland. Got the felling licence last Friday to begin thinning.

Digbits (Rugeley) had one on demo at the APF fitted on a 360. It was crushing kerbs with ease but not very quick but I guess quick enough.

I am a Yam Yam and have been butchering trees around the Black County and beyond for over 35 years, another 25 years and I aim to retire. I can remember when I used to climb trees just for fun and even took my kit on holiday with me in case I found a nice tree, seems a bit sad now. Haven't been up a tree for years.

We have done lots of crane work over the years and this is a good idea. Training is welcome. I have filled in the questionaire.

I would like to say I had a great time at the show. We went as a family, 12 of us on Thursday and 5 on Saturday. One day is not enough. Bought a 2nd hand Hakki Pilke and well chuffed. The carvings were a sight to see, enjoyed the heavy horse's and most envious of the hand craft's, they make it look so easy. Pity it's not an annual event and I am sure they could make it four days with ease. Anyone know where the poles come from and how far they are in the ground (the Mrs wants to know). .

I have 7 stump grinders of variying sizes and the RG50 have more than enough power. The belts and sprockets do wear but that's a small trade off and they are easy to change. I would say if you have the opportunity to buy one then take it.

Yes you can but it's best you take it to someone who knows the limits of adjustment. A bigger intercooler will also help and is easy to fit.

All the power you could possibly want, carrys plenty of chip and timber but still secure room for all your tools, signs etc. It's in for test beginning Oct so will have 12 months ticket. Takes much the same to run 7.5 tonne as it does 5 tonne. Cost's more to tax my Range Rover than it does a 7.5 tonne lorry

I have a Miller 150 fitted to a Valtra Valmet 4x4 tractor, it grinds stumps out like they are made from Lurpak. It is the biggest, fastest grinder I have ever seen. Where is the job?.

We have aquired a new splitter which fits onto any 360 over 2.5 tonnes up tom 7.5 tonnes. It will easily convert large timber or roots into smaller sections for proccesing. It has a built in auto gearbox so as the timber gets bigger or harder it changes gear to suit. Easy to use and quick. Most of you will know this but its worth a mention. VOSA can pull you over without a copper present. In the olds days they had to have one with them. Apparantly, if they do pull you over (without a copper present) and your not sure about their validity they will have a contact number of the local nick who you can call to check them out. 15-12-03 Power to Stop - improving VOSA's effectiveness

A team working in a back garden in Tividale which is between Dudley and Sandwell today had the tool box on the truck broken into. Cheeky b@sturds. Luckily the lads had taken all the tools into the back garden so they got FA.

We had one taken off the back of the truck a few years ago in Anchor Rd, Coseley at 9am, the lads had only left the truck to check out the job they were doing that day. It was chained to the truck, they pulled up alongside, cropped the chain/lock with bolt cutters and simply hitched it to their car and drove off. A lady on her way to work saw what happened but only got part the reg no. Fortunately I know a guy who knows the gypo's and it cost me £500 to get it back which was better than paying £9,000 at the time for a new one. It is their full time occupation, they will watch the lads go out from the yard in a morning and follow them around the black country just waiting for a chance to take whatever is available. A lad who used to work for me then set up on his own had his nicked while he was using it!. He had left the keys in the ignition and they took off with his truck and chipper while a branch was being fed into the hopper.

A Land Rover was nicked from the village along with a trailer with a large mower on it. Police chase Land Rover towing trailer - easy to catch yes - Land Rover stops on narrow bridge, back door opens and one of the thieves unhitches trailer and drives off - by the time the police had stopped and pushed the trailer out the way they were gone. Who would think of that.

I know how you feel, I have approx 35 crime ref no's. I am in Wolverhampton and have a spare set of climbing kit you can borrow if you are stuck at all.
