  1. Any idea what a going rate might be pre mtr?.
  2. Realy nobody in or around Watford wanting some firewood.
  3. We hire ours but only with an operator which is much more than the price you have been quoted. I think £125 is a fair price but I guess it depends on the machine.
  4. If it makes any difference the job has been put back a day so its now 21/22/23
  5. We are doing a job in Watford next week and are looking for some where to drop approx 2 x 7.5 tonne trucks of woodchip and maybe a couple of loads of timber.
  6. Idealy it would need to be collected, species as far as I know because to date I have only seen photos but I will confirm for definate when I get the report are Oak, Ash, Hawthorn and Sycamore.
  7. We have a small job in Watford next week 20/21/22 August and will have approx 11no trees availble (9 are mature) if anyone is interested. The deal is you can have the wood providing you have the woodchip as well. Bob 01902 892652
  8. Well Vic isn't. He planted the acorn for the major oak in Sherwood Forest.
  9. I am guessing you must know Vic Lowan.
  10. Your google must be better than mine, must give the hamster more fibre so he can turn the wheel a bit quicker. Thanks for that, I will give them a call. Are you based in Leicester?.

  13. We have a small job which is only a days work and need a MEWP approx 50' or16m reach. Amyone know who hires them in Leicester.
  14. Has anyone ever used the forestry/horticulture exemption with success. I would imagine its a hard one to prove unless you can convince them road side.
  15. I have some how lost my copy of the new BS so could anyone help me out please. I know in the old one pollarding (or re-pollarding) was acceptable providing the tree had been previously done, is this still the case.
  16. Johnny, you got a bit of p1key in ya aint ya. Have you asked the council if you need planning permission.
  17. The way it works with us is we load three wagons a day around once a month, this gives us chance to tidy the yard up at the same time, It takes us about an hour to load a lorry which carries approx 27 tonne or there about. The lorries go off and we await the weights so we can calculate the invoice, just lately we have been waiting a month before we get the weights and we are calling and e mailing on a daily basis. How hard can it be to get a weight from a load, they have to be weighed before they can tip. I am getting a bit disapointed with Stobarts, it was never like this before things were moved around.
  18. Anyone else having problems with Stobarts or is it just me?.
  19. James Mio - very good advice. Arbtalk has been a link on our site from day 1 Links | Wolverhampton Tree Service OFFICIAL WEBSITE
  20. We have a license and for the small cost it gives you peace of mind if you need to carry say some thing like old fence panels or a bit of rubble from a job. Also, I was told during a spot check that anything which is taken off a building/development site is waste, I am not saying that's fact but its what the guy said. I didn't bother to verify it because it doesn't affect us as we have a license.
  21. Strange how the new BS has overnight reclassified all TPO'd dying trees as dangerous whearas before they where simply dying. Where did the bit between alive and dead go?.
  22. I stand corrected. I e mailed Garth the other day but no response.
  23. The above date is now Monday 18th June if thats any help.
  24. Approx a transit load of wood available Friday 15th June. Free of charge and can deliver if reasonably local. 01902 892652 Bob
