  1. If your thinking of going newer then ours is not for you, it's a an old truck which has done 180,000 miles. However, it starts first time everytime without heat and just keeps going and going. No radio and it needs a little tidying but basically is sound.
  2. Ditto, a 110 is a usefull tool but a 130 is that bit better. We are about to upgrade ours so if your interested in a 1990 200tdi 130 tipper let me know, £4,750.
  3. This Global in Brum Global Sales wood chippers, arboricutural equipment and groundcare solutions
  4. Our quad chip turned up today via Global and to say we are chuffed is an under statement. So well thought out, easy to maintain, good to use, light, powerfull, user friendly. The only complaint I have is why didn't you make these years ago Pete.
  5. I wonder if they have actually sold one yet. You would think Greenmech would buy one and then take it apart to pinch all their innovative ideas
  6. We had a quad chip on demo just before Xmas and subsequently are awaiting delivery of our new one, arn't we Pete. Should be this week fingers crossed. Seems they cant make em quick enough so that must tell you some thing about the machine.
  7. Very kind of you, thankyou:thumbup:.
  8. Do you mean you have been trying to lick the Nutella off but couldn't do it, I bet your tongues a bit sore.
  9. Very true skyhuck but if the town hall is 150 miles away not practical:001_tt2:
  10. Not always quite that straight forward, we deal with LA's and TO's all over the country and while the majority will like you say tell you over the phone there is an increasing number that will only respond to an e mail and this some times takes days or even weeks in some cases if the TO is on holiday or works part time. It's certainly an awkward situation for you and it's a tough decision to make, good luck. One other thing for you consider depending on how the estate you work for is configured is 'felling license'. Unlikely it will affect you with these two trees but it all counts towards the volume/time period.
  11. Today I hung the gate, I also made a little catch to keep the gate open. Not impressed that I actually screwed a fixing to a standing tree Buster and gate.jpg 2013-01-06 13.34.01.jpg Gate catch.jpg
  12. I dont know for sure but would assume they are a legal requirement:confused1:.
  13. Our Timberwolf chipper needs a new set of decals, the old ones are only just about legible. Orange plant want just over £200 for a set, nearly fell off the chair when I found out the price. Is it me or are they a bit overpriced.
  14. I had not heard about painting the ends. My hopes are not high, I have a yard full of wood and try to keep the better bits to one side, it seems a shame to cut it for firewood. I currently have approx 20/30 Holly sticks approx 30 cms dia x 3 mtr long, they are quite close to the processor but I cannot bring myself to put them through.
  15. I have a mature Walnut to take down and have the opportunity to dig out the root or grind it, would anyone be interested in the root or the timber.
  16. I have a forwarder, where abouts are you.
  17. I need a gate so thought I would knock one up with a few bits I have about the place. The ledge is Oak and the brace is Ash, I have put the Hazel binders in the stop the dogs getting through. Gate 1.jpg Gate 2.jpg (51.2 KB)
  18. It is Ash.
  19. Next time a customer ask's why firewood is so dear I will show them this, 16 nails, staples and barb wire in a 1 mtr section, granted this was the base but there had been others further up the trunk. I gave up cutting in the end as every cut was another sharpen. IMG_20121227_151233.jpg
  20. The form you need is this (forget the Chichester bit) http://www.planningportal.gov.uk/uploads/appPDF/L3815Form016_england_en.pdf The building has to be less than 465 sq mtrs and you must own or have access to at least 12.5 acres (not necessarily in the same location but must be nearby). There are a few other citerea which are outlined within the from and in the post by bythamboy and also the previous link to the forestry guidance. They WILL say you need to apply for planning permission but thats a load of rubbish providing you comply with what is asked on the form. If you do not meet the criterea you may still get your building but will need to apply formally for full planning permission.
  21. £395.
  22. who sells them.
  23. Very true Paul, how many consultants do you see in a harness with a ms200 in their hands
  24. If your stuck I have one in Wolves. Might struggle behind a mog though, they are quite heavy.
