  1. On behalf of Redwood, we have no issue with faults like this being hi-lighted and discussed on Arbtalk, the prompt posting by Treegeek gave us a heads up before the fault was reported and allowed us to be proactive by informing the manufacturer straight away and contacting the customer to arrange the on site inspections that morning. This thread did get side tracked by the dirt issue which detracted from the importance of the chassis failure, as has already been said no manufacturer is immune to failures like this, I feel a measure of the manufacturer is how they manage and react to the faults, I will be happy to take a look at any Jensen chipper in my area, (Northern England and Scotland) for signs of similar failures, just contact me on 07880 646067, pm me or email me at [email protected]. Cheers
  2. Stuart Walker nr Settle. pm me if you want a number.
  3. If you looking for someone to haul it for you give me a shout, it may well fit in for a back load for Stu.
  4. I run a Ranger and am due to change in June, have held off looking at the VW as it has 200kg less towing capacity, have to admit was a little disappointed that VW couldn't match the towing capacity of the Ford. I think that they have missed a big trick as the other figures look better than most of the competition. Will prob have a look at the VW anyway, sure it will be class:thumbup1:
  5. I use the NFU with a fleet policy, seems pretty competitive and I can actually meet with the person who sorts out all the cover and the claims. Always a bonus I think
  6. From my experience the wear blades are cheaper, easier to change and set up and cheaper to sharpen, I would not consider a machine without the wearblades fitted. IMO
  7. Pete, how's it going, the beer is still in the pump and I will buy it for soon:thumbup1: give me a ring sometime. As the initial request was for a small chipper there are not many small drum chippers with screens ie. less than 12". Variable in-feed speed on a disc chipper offers a solution to this problem all be it not the best one!
  8. All Jensen chippers, from the 6" to the 12" come with adjustable speed in-feed rollers as standard, give me a shout on 07880 646067 or drop me a pm and we can arrange a demo for you.
  9. A customer of mine is selling a used one (without the digger) drop me a pm if you want some further info, pics etc.
  10. We supplied 2 hyd Jensens to a Large Contractor in Scotland for the front of their RR mogs, initially they were only partially successful but I believe they are now working well. Steve, you know the company they bought your front mount schliesing from you???
  11. Not sure about the Hi-lux now but The Ranger had the best towing capacity in its class ( 3 tonnes) when I got mine 2 years ago, 60k + with no major problems, Not the plushest pickup around but done good for me. Thats blown it, better join the RAC:lol:
  12. Pete I think you have taken my comment the wrong way, I would never question another mans patriotism as I am as patriotic as the next man, I would never try to sell my product by putting down the competition, where ever it is built/assembled as I believe that competition is a good thing, show me a machine of any kind that has it all 100% correct and I will hang up my boots and leave the market to them. I sell a machine with componants from all over the world as you do, to put food on my table and beer in my glass. I am sure we will catch up at the APF and I will happilly use some of my hard earned to put a beer in your glass:beer: good banter keeps the world turning:thumbup:
  13. Now there's a sales pitch:sneaky2:
  14. it has been "out of the frying pan into the fire" for the blue machine, not good for all the guys still there that I used to work with. I hope there is a light at the end of the tunnel for you all. not good either for those who are owed money for work done, could have quite an affect on the industry with alot of changes of tee shirts!

    APF Digs

Just wondering where people are staying for the APF, I am stopping at the Ramada Hotel in Cannock, if anyone else is about there and fancies meeting up for a drink 1 night it would be a good time to put faces to names.
  16. Reasonable force??????? I think not, just high on power. Are the police going to pay the costs for the damage to his car I'm sure that will come to more than the £300 pounds the courts charged the driver with. Yes he should not have driven off but the police knew who the driver was and that he was an elderly man. Too much IMO.
  17. I work with a company who deliver ag, eqpt to dealers in the South West, if you are struggling drop me a PM with the collection area and I will see what he can do for you.
  18. Jensen / Redwood fit tow balls to the A530T for this operation but as with all eqpt you will be limted by the weight of the chipper and the power in the tracks as to the weight of trailer and the ground conditions you are travelling on. please drop me a pm with your number and I will get the mounting info for you.
  19. Has anybody else come across a white mole, I caught 1 in a trap once, showed it to my boss at the time and he chucked it on the fire, found out later that a taxidermist would pay good money for white moles, very rare apparently Keep your eyes open Dave, could be black and white thong!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. Just heard that it struck an O2 mast about 150 yards away and has left AC price without any phones, internet etc so if you are trying to get hold of his place you may be struggling for the next day or so, any of you that know him can guess the expletives that are coming out of that yard at the moment. The down side to this type of extreme weather!
  21. Don't know who else got it this morning, the thunder storm that is, 4:20 and all hell broke loose, lightning right over head, car alarms, house alarm, screaming kids and rain like a waterfall, awsome!! Spent half an hour with head out of window watching it all happen. I love this type of weather.
  22. There is a guy in the Northwest that has 1 for sale, we just bought a stumpgrinder off him and his tackle is all in A1 condition, sorry not sure of make or size but if you drop me a pm I will pass his details on to you.
  23. Snapped this when fishing in Cornwall
  24. :confused1:May already have been mentioned but have you checked the air dryer filter and valve if your mog is fitted with 1, had 1 go on a 1650 that I was using and you could not hear the leak because it was venting as fast as the comp was producing air. Just a thought from my limited knowledge:thumbup1:
  25. Have you looked the Heizomat boilers, they have been manufacturing woodchip boilers for nearly 30 years now and is their core business, the chippers are manufactured to suppliment the boilers. Give A. C. Price a ring or have a look on his website lots of good info and links on their. AC Price Engineering - Home
