  1. I am with you on this one, my Son came home from school after having his first sex ed class at the age of 9, I must admit I was a little taken aback that it was started so young, but after sitting through a tea where Jack and myself almost choked and spat out our food as we were laughing so much at the homework he had been given and the additional names that we both came up with for the body parts that he had been asked to name. What started off as a taboo, embarrasing subject turned into a relaxed discussion which I hope helped to remove part of the stigma associated with the sex word and your parents. Since that day nearly 2 years ago there have been questions that Jack has asked me, mainly on the pre-fix of "Billy says that" but I am glad he comes and asks and feels that he can, I am sure I am more embarrassed than he is and that is good, this goes with drugs also as I think that children will go and find out for themselves and if I can be a part of that learning then I will have a chance at guiding him in the right direction. By the way I love the expression on your lads face! Priceless.
  2. Surely that depends on whether its chipper, tractor or tree porn, or just PORN:blushing:
  3. A colleague of mine has chance of a large amount of dry Pine and Spruce, ideal for firewood or biomass fuel, it is in 2 mtr lengths and has stood for approx 12months. if he gets enough interest he will sell it, delivered to your site by the artic load approx 26 tonne / load. The timber is in the North of England, if you are interested drop me a PM with your post code and I can give you a price / load delivered.
  4. Firstly, I have prepared my acceptance speach and have practiced it in front of the mirror for the past hour, but in true Bafta's style I cannot get past the 2nd line without bursting into tears. Thanks for the vote. Here is the picture for this week.DO YOUR WORST:sneaky2:
  5. Sharing the field with the can can dancers was causing havoc on match days!!!
  6. Was in the Gardena Valley last week, which is apparently the wood carving capital of Italy, found these in the village square, please forgive the lack of wood.
  7. Interesting stuff, no doubt a great loss to his sport, cheers for the info.
  8. Just as a matter of interest, is he "The Late Dan Osman" as a result of his climbing or for some other reason? He certainly was a very talented and fearless guy and amazing to watch.
  9. Thanks to everyone who has PM'd me ref the collection of wood, chips, root waste or hedge cuttings etc. I will contact you in the next few days and see what we can sort out. If you are looking at site clearence jobs and would like a quote for removal of the green waste from site or from your yard drop me a PM he is also interested in any wood (pops etc) in length or rings and can collect from roadside or hard standing and he will look into travelling any distance if there is enough call.:001_smile:
  10. I have a friend with a recycling company in the North West who will collect green waste as long as there is enough to warrent him sending his truck to collect it, he has asked me to speak with tree surgeons etc about what they do with their waste whilst I am out and about. depending on the type of waste ie, whether it is wood, chips, root waste or hedge cuttings etc depends on whether he can pay for it , just remove it at no cost to the producer or have to charge for it's removal. If someone produces enough waste he will leave a hook loader skip on your site for you to fill. He is having some literature printed up with what he is looking for and the rates, if you are interested PM me and I will pass on your details, he will travel out of the North West but rates will vary dependant on distance.
  11. Have you checked out the new A.C. Price Website, Very smart:thumbup1: http://www.acprice.co.uk
  12. Your maintenance inspections are upto you you to specify on your licence as long as they are between 4 and I think 12 weeks, the inspection frequency depends on the type of work and the distances the vehicle is doing eg, a timber lorry travelling on forest tracks or a tipper working in building sites and quarries would be liable to shorter inspection periods than a truck that is purely doing clean delivery work round town, and a truck that is doing shift work with 2 or 3 shifts / day will be liable to shorter inspection periods than a truck that is just travelling to site and sitting whilst the day's work is done and then travelling home loaded at night. What ever you specify on your licence will be monitored by Vosa at roadside checks by the condition of your vehicle and they may advise a change in the inspetion periods if there are problems with the vehicle condition. Hope this helps.
  13. You are probably aware that to upgrade to any LGV ie. a vehicle over 3500kg gvw you will have to have an Operators Licence, depending on what type of work you are undertaking you may get away with a Restricted Licence but in either case you will have to set up the maintenance schedules etc to keep VOSA happy. If your work comes outside the realms of a Restricted Licence you will also need to either sit your CPC for Road Transport or hire the services of a Transport Manager. Hope I am not preaching to the converted, if so just tell me to shut up!
  14. Some amazing pictures, impressive and thought prevoking! Thanks for sharing them with us.
  15. I thought you had got me mixed up with someone else to start with ("seemed like a nice bloke who seemed to know what you where going on about") Thanks for the good wishes,I think I've got you, did your mog go walk about:confused1:
  16. Oh dear you can't go anywhere can you, It seems I should know you:confused1:
  17. Is that the price tag still on it????????
  18. I'm sure Alex will see you right with a good deal as and when you are ready to purchase, Hiezohack is a good machine and with the back up and service that Alex can provide you won't go far wrong:001_cool:
  19. Bit off topic but SMART BOWL. Sorry back to the bat!!!!
  20. The full Hiezohack range is available without axles and drawbars for mounting onto a trailer or skid, admittedly the 14-800 (48" x 32")would probably be too big to mount on a trailer drawbar, the 10-500 (34" x 20") may be possible and the 8-400 (27" x 16") would definitely go on. IMO
  21. Like all suppliers we cannot afford to sit back on our laurels, (or Hardy's) lol. we already market used machines on the Arborcut website and this will be linked to the new site. In the mean time you can see the used stock on http://www.arborcut.com
  22. Rumbled:sneaky2: I look after the North of England for Redwood as an Agent.
  23. If the chipper is fitted with the top bar in-feed hopper then the tilting would raise it above 600mm which would be an issue, the fold down hopper shown in the picture with the bar at the bottom will mean that the tilting of the chipper should only raise the hopper so should still be ok.
