  16. Morning all Some of you may already know but as of today I have jumped ship:vroam:, I will no longer be acting as an Agent for Redwood UK and Jensen Chippers. I start in my new position with Spectrum Plant this morning and will be looking after a similar area for them selling their range of products including Timberwolf chippers and shredders and FSI Stumpgrinders. I would like to thank all my Redwood and Jensen Customers for their custom over the last 4 years and look forwards to dealing with you in my new role going forwards. I will be on the Timberwolf Stand at the APF and will be ready for the grief:bash: that I am sure some of you will give me. I have kept my number 07880 646067 and my Spectrum email address is [email protected], my personal email address is still live also Thanks again Phil:thumbup1:
  17. We can do them in any colour:sneaky2:
  18. Take a look at this, steep access is no longer a problem for this quality chipper Keep an eye out in the industry press or get in touch for more information:thumbup1: Spider - Redwood UK professional woodchipper
  19. Was about to say the same, we found that the threads go tight before the clamp is fully nipped, had a customer with a newish chipper the other week with the same problem, greased the threads and the problem was solved. going forwards the new A530s are coming with the new 2 bolt clamping system which has been fitted to the 540s for a while now, it is alot better but it is not easily retro fitted as the connection is different on the chute and the hopper top:confused1:
  20. I would go with the comments above, the belts seem very cheap so may not be up to the job, also are the pulleys in line? The truck will be fairly over powered for that chipper so the no stress, if fitted will not be cutting in very often and the belts may not be upto that amount of power going through them with no protection, all just thoughts and would be keen to know the hp at the shaft on the truck and to see some pics. Cheers
  21. From my point of veiw, for once I am with Pete, if you cannot sell on your own produsct's merits, dont sell!!! When 1 manufacturer gets it 100% I will sell that product and stuff the rest, in the mean time we all have our good points, use those to promote your product. sorry bit off topic but cannot realy comment of Quadchips for obvious reasons:thumbup1:
  22. Give me a call or PM , I am the agent for Jensen Chippers in the North of the UK and if I can help I will do, Cheers Phil. 07880 646067:thumbup1:
  23. The chipper in-feed heights sre set by the HSE dependant on the position of the control / safety bar around the hopper, if the bar is around the bottom 75%of the hopper the leading edge of the hopper must be <600mm from the ground when on a flat, level surface, if the leading edge is lower than 600mm then the bar must be situated around the side and top of the hopper and the distance from the bar to the lower leading edge of the hopper must be no greater than 1000mm meaning that the bar should never be higher than 1599mm from the ground on a top bar machines. there are further minimum distances from the leading edge to the nip point of the feed rollers but I think this will only complicate matters:sneaky2: Hope this makes sense:thumbup:
  24. Dean Service periods are initial Hyd filter 20 hrs oil and fuel filters and engine oil 50 hrs full engine service 250hrs then every 250 after that. hyd oil 1000hrs chipper blades have approx 30mm of sharpening (2 Sets suppiled with new machine) Main rotor bearings sealed top and botom roller shafts and top roller bearing greased every 8 hours bottom roller bearing sealed. (New chipper can be supplied with greasable bearings if prefered) Grease Turntable weekly . Hope this helps cheers Phil (Bald Ed)
