  2. Nick that's the one and the Bigab trailer be rude to split them up.... Got a big job on and lots of timber to come out and it was the only way to go really

  4. Hello all, Just putting it out there as I have just added a new string to my bow and that if help is needed on big jobs clearing sites I would happy to pimp myself out to fellow Arbtalk members. Can take away 13 tonnes ( 3t on truck 10t on roll on off trailer) in one hit so maybe I can be of help....? Roadsides not a problem as I posses relevant qual's operator and supervisor as well as accessing of road sites. Just send a pm, not set up with a crane as yet but we cant have everything at once All the best Toprotter

  7. Fantastic ! built a holt in surrey but the only otters found in the vicinity have been dead at road side. Maybe one day they will flourish again here.

  16. Pault When I lived there there was a family that did tree work cant remember the name, always used to drink in Lucies by the bridge but I guess you've tried them. one of the cousins is with geordie mick. Ive gone blank on names as it was a while ago. If you know mick say 'hello' from justin.
  17. Will thats the thing all very well having tickets for first aid or to get someone out of a tree etc but if your going to faint or as he did go into shock they aint going to be much help.. If they where working out at a reserve etc with no-one around he wouldn't be here and that's a fact and his young kid would be missing a dad.... Nptc courses down the morgue or a field hospital ain't going to happen so I guess that part of our safety is in the lap of the gods
  18. Rob d the sling on the pulley failed. The injured is doing fine he's been in the job for over 20yrs and I know a few of you on here have worked with him and possibly been under his wing , so it shows that it can happen to the best of us,he went on a bender last night drinking through a straw as for the groundie he may be having a career change:001_smile:

  20. LOL he would appreciate that ! any more cracks I can pass on cause I ran out Sunday Tommer he got the shins and the throat...! I went up on friday to finish the job so he would get paid up as he wont be doing much for a bit.
  21. Sorry to here mate have not been on for a while. I only been done once touch wood but found them at carboot with my stuff so that had a long story but happy ending. I am all trip wired up etc since and too pop a few of seems to do the trick
  22. A good pal of mine had an accident last Thursday. Pulling a felled stem of driveway , tied of end redirected to a pulley then back to truck................walked through danger zone, snapped pulley stop . Pulley smashes both shins and then stuck in throught with a lump of turf. Groundy goes into shock and by the luck of the gods the customer comes out with towel to stem blood flow and said " don't worry i'm a doctor " Now that is one lucky fella......50 odd stitches and still here

  24. Always a hot bed for the light fingered, especially this time of year. Mind you I think the local site has been moved on but there's always something for someone to nick same most places I guess
