  1. Nice vid. Welcome to the forum August
  2. Sami Khedira!! Plays for Madrid. Bet the house was big!!
  3. I heard if you get bitten, run a tea spoon under a hot tap for a couple of minutes then press it on the bite. Thought that it was a load of shite but it works!!
  4. I must be weird, I find untangling throwline quite therapeutic!
  5. I think Steve mentioned this earlier in the thread but this is my local butcher. This stuff is amazing and they mail order!!! biltongenwors.co.uk - the easiest way to buy biltong and droewors online in the UK!
  6. You could use a monkey tail (don't know if this is the technical term but its what my mate told me it was and now I can't think of it as anything else!!) Ring spliced onto a length of cord. Place ring through end of rope, pull the length of slack through for the peice of timber you want to cut. Tie 6 wrap prussic and back up however you like. Decend and when you're done, pull the tail and it pulls down.
  7. We'd do the exact same thing. It used to really wind me up throwing meat and food away. Don't know if its just in my head but yeah. Finding it easier to get up in the morning and make eggs etc. Sleeping better. Hungry right now but think its because I've been reading all the other posts! Not getting acid or indigestion either.
  8. Just reread the whole thread. I figure if you're going to do it do it right! Having a few bits of bacon and 3 eggs scrambled for breakfast. Boiled eggs, salad, carrots and a bit of meat for lunch. Tin of tuna and a bit of fruit if I'm really starving then meat on the grill with buttered veg for dinner. Think I need to get a load of biltong in for snacks but still starting out. Just drinking water and black tea
  9. I cut a hedge for a TV once
  10. Was everyone absolutely starving for the first few days?
  11. Chicken on grill, tomatoes and onions fried with a few prawns chucked in. Not too bad at all
  12. Started doing it this week. Have taken the recipe list from the first few pages. I'm on boiled eggs, tuna and salad with the odd steak thrown in here and there!!

    Ropes

Don't know where I got it from but I'm sure that it was if you ordered a mile you could have any colour you wanted? Or have I completely made that up?
  14. I will have a look tomorrow but I'm pretty sure I have some
  15. Very nice work. If you don't mind me asking, What do you charge for one?
  16. Come down from tree and piss on chip in truck.
  17. I've got a couple of Petzl throw bags, Stein cube and spliced Zing-it. Can't hit anything one handed though!
  18. Honestly, Pop down and see Jonesie. I've got lots from him in the past and he's more helpful than anyone local in my experience
  19. Whereabouts in Hertfordshire mate?
  20. Interesting. I would have thought that it would've been a thinner rope than 13mm. I know the Zig zag worked better thinner. I'll have to have a look at one in the flesh but it would have to be brilliant to replace my current lanyard!
