  1. Hadn't noticed he'd gone to be honest.
  2. The only one I know is the Alpine! Great thread though!
  3. If you don't swap. How much are you looking for it?
  4. Will the surveyors be reporting to this role? Will they have to sign off on the recommendations?
  5. Joe, Not sure if you'll see this or not but do you have any information on the SRT "stopper?" that is used in the video to work a single line through the rope guide? Is that available as well or am I being a bit slow and I just can't find it! Thanks mate.
  6. If a loler inspector fails your rope for that then I'd be looking for a new inspector. Ive done exactly what Ewan has mentioned on some of my ropes. You can buy a little XRSE carabineer which you can push through the centre of the rope and it will act like a little retrieval ball. Or, most simply of all, just clove hitch the ball to the bitter end of the rope!! Horses for courses. All work!!
  7. I really like the look of the Aku Viaz. John Shutler and Rich Rule have them and rate them I think. If you get them, I can live vicariously through you. Think Nod sells them
  8. Disregard my comment then. I'm talking about a Pinto Loopie. Sorry
  9. Young lad working in a Supermarket and a woman comes up to him and asks to buy half a Cauliflower. The young lad has to check with his manager so opens the door to the back and shout "Hey Boss. I've got the stupidest customer in the world who wants to buy half a f**king cauilflower...." and as he says this, he looks over his shoulder and sees the woman standing there so he quickly adds "...but luckily this woman here has asked to buy the other half" The woman is pleased and leaves and the boss is impressed. He asks the lad where he's from and he replies "Liverpool, but I left because it was all footballers and prostitutes" The boss looks a bit stoney faced and tells him "My wife is from Liverpool" to which the lad replies "Oh Really? What team does she play for?"
  10. Ha ha. Sadly not. Although my Mum says I'm handsome. * Real story, knew I didn't want to do an office job, didn't like being indoors etc. Found a course, loved it, did tickets and then went out into the big wide world showing off some sub standard tree work. Always loved the climbing equipment (magpie syndrome) and ropes so taught myself to splice rope and do that as a hobby. *If anyone does want some modelling work doing. Let me know. Reasonable rates
  11. For rigging. Loop the sling round the tree, pass the pinto through the loop it's made and cinch it up tight
  12. My modelling work was going so well that I thought there was a chance I'd start earning too much money so Tree Climbing helped nicely
  13. Can you make an elephant with an angle grinder?
  14. Just use a reduction cut. Have you done Medium tree felling?
  15. Bump. Any more you're looking for Steve?
  16. That's good of you. We'll done
  17. That's why it's my favourite!
  18. There are two types of people in the world. Those who can extrapolate data
  19. This is one of my favourite posts in a long time.

    Dead fir log

Good work Reg. What did you end up anchoring into?
  21. If I've told her once, I've told her a hundred times. Stop putting socks in my dildo drawer:thumbdown:
  22. 3 extra inches. Good God, I hope I don't win, I don't think the wife would be happy if it broke the 15 inch barrier
