  2. Always used to cut a hedge for a little old french lady and she would always give me a tip even if it was just £2!! It might be my imagination, but I think that Europeans always used to tip. Maybe its in their culture:confused1: Not complaining though!! £2 is better than nothing!!!
  3. You "technically" don't need the throw line to get it down, You can just pull it out like a normal cambium saver. But I think that if I'm spending a few quid on a bit of kit, I'll lower it out with a throw line because its my bottom on the line!! (and I don't like spending money!! Ha ha!!) Glad the photos were of use mate!! Tom
  4. It doesn't Peter, But I find that if you give it a little pull it doesn't seem to stick. I wouldn't like to try it with the Primus though!! Next time I'm out, I'll have to try it your way!! Cheers mate!!
  5. Think your self lucky!! Mrs Tommy_B's new favourite catchphrase is "Not ******* Arbtalk AGAIN!!!":scared1:
  6. Here you go Stevie, Few photos of it installed and the last few are an easier way to remove it. Tie a throw line over a branch just above the Rope Guide and onto the large ring (Picture 4) and when you tie the retrieval ball to the end and pull (Picture 5), it catches the shackle (Picture 6)and you can lower it out the tree with the throwline. (Final Picture) Hope this is what you wanted mate. Tom:001_cool:

  18. Yeah, Apparantly its the difference in height eg y and Y that make the letters more distinguishable. It's not something that I would have thought about either if it hadn't been pointed out to me!!!
  19. As I understand it, People learn in three ways, Auditory, Visual and Tactile. If you try to tell someone who is a tactile learner how to do something, you are always going to struggle as they have difficulty processing the words. Not due to Dyslexia or other difficulties, but due to their personal way of learning. If you can ensure that all three styles are included in your training, handouts for the visual, you speaking for the auditory and an example of what you're talking about that the students can actually touch eg, Chain or Climbing equipment etc, then you should cater for all in the group. Simple things like the way people answer questions, such as, "I see what you mean" or "That feels about right", can let you know how people learn things and you can pick up on it and figure out what you'll need in lessons. I think that different coloured handouts as well as writing in lower case and not capitals as some dyslexic people struggle to differentiate the shape of capital letters. Hope this helps mate. Tom
  20. Well done for all the honesty guys. Glad that nothing was too serious and we're all here to tell the tale....
