can you clarify what youve got, as at the moment is seems like you want to know how much youre 3 axle lorry which is a small tipping volvo trailer which holds 10-15cubic meters will hold its been a hard day, so forgive me if im missing the obvious

could i not just keep the vehicle running? would that power pack be man enough to run a splitter steve? i'll ask the hydraulic bloke what he reckons when i go see him!

ok is that simple/do-able without affecting the tipper? would the basic idea work? i.e can you power a decent hydraulic log splitter off a tipper?

heres a question for you log splitter hydraulic boys. . . starting to convert my 130 to a tipper, seeing as im off to the local hydraulic bloke to get the power pack mated to the ram soon(they were sourced sepperatly), would it be feesable to have some quick release couplings on the power pack end, then be able to unplug the tipper, and plug in the splitter to run off the tippers hydraulic pack? the power pack used to run a 2tonne hiab, so presumabally its used to reppitive movements/continious work? could that work?

dunwich was more than a village mate, it was a HUGE port and city 1500 years ago, 7 or 8 known churches near 20 suspected still under the sea somewhere, hospitals, schools the works, the old capital of east anglia, a truly amazing history. you want to go there when theres some winter storms, and go beach combing i grew up in sizewell, just below dunwich, one year on a stormy night we lost 3 meters on one part of the cliff! then it can go 10 years without the water coming anywhere near!

i think what steves trying to get at is if his competitor takes home and bins all their tree waste they may charge 500 for a day, steve can go in at 300, do the job slightly quicker thanks to his micro machines eliminating dragging/clearup time, and he knows he can make an aditional 400 out of the wood, winning more jobs as he's cheaper, happier clients as he's cheaper, and taking home more money as hes either got time to do another job, or split the wood SWB wins more jobs, makes more money
