  1. How do you manage that then - do you have a pic?
  2. I use the middle hole for the rope end, as it keeps it away from the hitch a little more, also an other braid in your tails might help - looks a little short to me.
  3. If I'm not mistaken it looks like my ex business partner at Advanced Tree Services in Surrey.
  4. Hi Stu,

Did you see my text earlier?

  5. I had this body built for my 130 by a guy in West Sussex:
  6. I've been playing with my new spider jack today - I love it! Just one issue though, can the Velcro be mounted on the other side as I have spent the last 27 years throwing my climbing line left to right over a branch, and now I have to throw it right to left - feels really weird!
  7. Haha! Found it in the forest yesterday whilst doing some pricing.
  8. How about this one Rob: The tree in the middle of the photo...
  9. Do you mean Duncan Groundworks Ltd in Hook Mill Lane? This is the number 01276 476596. Not sure if they are taking small commercial stuff though, or just big bulkers.
  10. I'm near Woking and did my PTI recently with Land Skills Training in Dorking. Course tutor was Guy Watson who covered the course content extremely well, and put it across in an easy to understand manner as well.
  11. Cheers. Makes a good talking point when I turn up to do a quote! This is the best bit! Not quite that clean now though. Lol
  12. This is my ride: Always wanted one since late teens, when a mate had one. We would go to Woolacombe on bank holidays (lived in Bridgwater, Somerset then). Got the chance of a resto project that had been off the road for about 20 years, took me a couple of years to get it back on the road, but definitely worth it.
  13. I thought it a bit strange to be in autumn colour and in flower so searched for that and there it was! Thanks for the tip on the book earlier. Iv'e got Collins field guide but by Alan Mitchell 1978!! I found the Sorbus alnifolia in another book 'Cassell's Trees of Britain & Northern Europe', but it's not a field guide, more an encyclopedia - it's huge!
  14. The All Encompassing Book of Trees of the World written by Google:lol:
  15. Looks like a Franklinia alatamaha to me.....
  16. Rob, What tree ident book have you got? I don't have this one in my book. Got all the other sorbus species but not alnifolia:thumbdown: Cheers...Al
  17. Glad to see everyone is gainfully employed at the moment. Thumbs up.
  18. Getting busy busy here Could do with a trainee climber to help out up the bigger trees, and able to do smaller trees unsupervised. Must have CS 30, 31 and preferably 38 & 39. Also need to be within 1/2 hour of GU24 for emergency call outs. You will be self employed on 5 day week. Day rate depends on experience. I am not after someone highly experienced, so would suit a newish climber. PM me if interested. Cheers...Al
  19. No mate. I'll take better ones next time Purple prince is good enough for now.
  20. No fraid not Rob. Some of the images on google were spot on I thought...
