  1. What's involved in spraying a cab? I take it its not as particular as spraying a car?
  2. Hi Billy Yes it's the bottom of the b posts mainly, and also the bottom seam at the rear of the cab. Truck breaker I know has some good cabs and in the right colour for me as well. Just don't know how long the job would take. I can't so welding so would have to pay someone to do that. I could do a cab swap though... Al.
  3. Has anyone find this? The cab on my 18t iveco has seen better days. I can get hold of a slightly later tector cab for around £500 but wiring will be different due to it having an ecu. Not sure how involved it would be, but could be cheaper than patching and welding, plus it's in the right colour of white, so no need to paint. Cheers....Al
  4. Yes, both sides, also along the base of the cab at the back.
  5. Signage yes, paint will have to wait. The cab is a bit rusty in places so need to decide what to do. Will probably need patches welded in here and there.
  6. I think that's an old photo as it's not quite that clean and shiny now!
  7. So nearly passed the mot today. The air tank strap broke while I was jet washing it this morning 😡 All I could do was ratchet strap it on. New strap arriving tomorrow. And offside headlight aim! I was expecting some steering ball joints or something nasty, so very pleased with that. Retest on Friday.
  8. I've yet to see Shaun's new hiab in operation. Tis a whopper though!
  9. OK, Bob. Booked in for mot on weds anyway. Didn't seem right to me.
  10. This one that Billy linked to : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/172211308032
  11. Picked up the lorry today. When I got home, went to see if I could tax it online, but wasn't expecting to be able as it has no mot. Vehicle tax website on checking vehicle details came up with "mot /gvt test certificate exemption declaration" If I declsre this as correct it takes me to the payment page. Whilst it's tempting, it can't be right surely? It's an 18t hook loader with a hiab, been mot'd before although the last one had an error on the dates. It was issued on 2nd September 2015 and expired end of Sept 2015. The issue date was actually 2014. Very strange...
  12. Is there access for a grab lorry? I'll be in a position to pick up and transport timber soon.
  13. Lucky for me though! 👍
  14. I've had Iveco 7.5 tonners for the last 12 years, so know them inside out now. 👍
  15. If all goes according to plan, I'll be the new owner of this: Cheers for any leads. 👍 Al.
  16. Yes, saw that one. Got a gearbox problem where it jumps out of gear. Sounds expensive to fix.. I do like the Daf 55 though as not quite as bulky as the Iveco 180.
  17. When I get my licence back with the C category added I can then do the +E, as said so I can tow over 750kg. Should be August time hopefully.
  18. Cheers Bob. Who is KD? Six wheeler will be 26t won't it? Bit too big for me if so.
  19. Hi Adrian, I'll contact Geoff on Monday. How much for your bins if I buy the lorry? Cheers..Al
  20. Having successfully passed my C hgv test last week, I'm now looking for an 18 ton grab lorry. After eBay and autotrader where else can I look? Cheers Al.
  21. 😂😂😂 😂 😂
