  1. Can anyone recommend from experience an hgv training company in Guildford to Camberley area? Cheers....Al
  2. Just had my Daily done. Floor was rusted out on top of a cross member. Cross members rusty, side rails rusty. Was getting to the stage where we would have gone to tip off, and the ram woukd have come through the floor!😱😳 New steel floor, cross members and rails. Took the guy a week and £600 Other quote I had was £2400!
  3. Now you tell me! Could have drunk some of your 🍻 if I'd known! I thought you were up north? He used the snow plough as a mud plough so bit grubby.
  4. He used it to push soil back into trenches. Nothing to strenuous.
  5. I expect so. Had a snow plough attachment and some little grain bucket. In Ashford, Kent. It is a straight machine. Not been abused at all (yet😂) I think we'll be working it a bit harder.
  6. Isn't cooling off period part of distance selling regs? The only one doing distance selling is Mark. Putting distance between himself and the unsuspecting customer once he's grabbed the money from the cashpoint 😂
  7. Yes Mick, for sure. The bucket was the only attachment the guy selling it had, that was of any use to me. Got the price reduced in lieu of not having the other attachments.👍
  8. Today's job was picking this purchase up from Kent 😍😍👍👍

I have bought refurbished Tom Toms frim their website. Never had a problem with them. Also use 'Here' app on my phone. Just download the maps you need and away you go. Doesn't have to use any data but keep a phone charger handy. If going to France or somewhere, you can download the maps and then delete them when you come back, saves memory space.
  10. That's the same as the 55 plate one you linked earlier but with a reduced price. If it was emission zone compliant I'd be tempted, but it's a year too old.
  11. 👍👍 Thanks for the heads up.
  12. 👍👍 Was yours a flatbed to start with or a tipper? Do you have the tipping gear underneath of use the hiab to tip the body?
  13. Is it possible to move a hiab from the front of the lorry to the back? Can find plenty of front mounted hiabs. Cheers..Al.
  14. Nice! Thanks Peter. I suppose the chipper could be detached as well, to change the discharge direction. Cheers...Al.
  15. Sorry to resurrect this thread, but that's a well thought out truck Peter 👍 I wouldn't mind doing something similar to replace my 7.5t Just one question - for now! - are you able to use a road tow chipper with that configuration, and chip past the hiab? Cheers...Al.
  16. Nice truck Adrian. I've sent you a text message. Cheers Al.
  17. Got back ok. 👍 Turbo off now and picking up a new one in the morning.
  18. Made down to Brighton 👍 just got to get back again later!
  19. That's what I was thinking. Thanks for your advice mate. If you hear about a strange sudden fog on the M23 tomorrow.....
  20. Oh, right. Thanks. Meant to be going to a job in Brighton tomorrow...😱 In your experience are second hand turbos too much of a gamble? Recon mine or buy a new one?
  21. Thanks for your reply. Ticking over all day at low oil pressure could have done it then? If it seizes completely is it driveable?
  22. Got an issue with my 7.5t that I'm not sure about. Engine makes a siren noise that goes up and down in pitch in line with the accelerator going up and down. Thought it was turbo so took it off, and found the turbo to exhaust manifold gasket was broken in half. Also some tell tale soot marks on exhaust manifold to head gasket. Replaced all the gaskets, showed the turbo to iveco mechanic as there was a bit of play in the impeller but he reckoned it was OK. Road tested just now and siren noise is still there😡 The day before the noise started I had a senior moment and left the lorry ticking over ALL day!😳😳 Lorry seems to drive ok. Amy thoughts in this one? Cheers....Al.
