  1. I carry costco kitchen wipes in the truck which i find cleans most things. Three large tubs in a pack.
  2. Honda i think is one company that make vehicles in china for the european market. We all thought that japan couldn't do it but look were they are now. Give them a few years and a lot of people will be buying chinese built or sourced motors.
  3. City rovers were made by tata! Now look what they own now. I think chinese trucks will be ok because they get there technology from other countries and then they will manipulate it to suit,Some have teams working in the uk.
  4. I thought you knew your tractors!
  5. Yes colin worked at T&C but he set up a company with two other mechanics. T&C dont really speak to them because of it. Does that not tell you something about the main dealer?
  6. But how many times do you slam them before they shuts?
  7. No there up at tullos. Greenbank Business Centre, Greenbank Road, Aberdeen, AB12 3BN 01224 875 999 Don't bother phoning them because they very seldom answer it due to the amount of work they do.I'll bet they have more in the workshop than town and county. What they don't know about L/R is not worth knowing.
  8. Use builders sealant or go up to greenbank 4x4 and get proper stuff from Colin. I personally wouldn't use silicone, filthy stuff.
  9. No unless you've plenty of time.
  10. These guys will build one for you on any old vehicle chassis. Homepage :: Gray & Adams They will even build a prison van for you if thats what you want for your holidays.
  11. Some charge extra if they have to use a wagon for transport. The council are only paying the JCB 3/4X guys £22.50 PH with driver in this area. How does that pay?
  12. You should have just said it's not mine it belongs to the company. Don't worry about it ,he was maybe he was just sounding you out.
  13. That's the best way.
  14. Iv still got an original sickle and sythe but you have to learn to sharpen them without slicing your hand. I reckon youngsters should learn how to use them as it will help when they have to use a strimmer.
  15. Yes but i think there calculations are slightly out.
  16. I wouldn't worry about it as your accountant will see that your ok.
  17. At least a £1.00 per mile.
  18. I took a digger over to france and the guy just asked what i was going to do with it. Didn't have to show paperwork or anything,is it any wonder that stolen goods disappear.

    what vehicle?

If the truck(Hilux) or car was bought by you you could claim back mileage,45p per mile. The vehicle would have to be owned by the company to get any vat back if you are registered. Just buy a S/H little car if that is all you need!
  20. Well that is different to what iv been taught by traffic commissioners. I think the law might have changed though.
  21. Council-police designated areas but ONLY for children not grown ups.
  22. A lolipop person can not stop traffic they dont have the authority unless they are on duty and are assisting children to cross the road
  23. There must have been more than you doing the job ,you clearing one directing the traffic. The police must have been happy with what you were doing as well or they would have said something. Its not very nice getting treated like dirt by motorists etc but that's the way some people are now. And you were not dictating you were instructing people when it was safe to proceed.
  24. You should have called the council out for backup if needed it also depends on your police force, some will help . Stop go boards should have worked in that situation you state if signs were deployed and it wasn't a really busy route.
  25. It depends on the roads etc but there ok for short term work and never had an issue with council or police. If unsure ask the people that look after that strech of road to be on the safe side. Road closure is a separate issue.
